Architecture

Very nice architecture around the block. Can't miss it if you're in the city. A nice area to take some pics and relax.

Built on reclaimed land, this very modern attraction is very worth visiting. Comprising the Palace of the Arts, with its four theatres/concert halls, an IMAX cinema known as L'Hemisferic, a very large Science Museum and an Aquarium, it is possible to experience the imaginative architecture without paying to actually enter the contents of the venues.

This is a feast for the eyes in many respects. Each of the various buildings is a piece of art in itself. You can spend hours just walking around and looking at the various pieces of sculpture. I never did get inside.

This site just shows what a city can achieve.....even if in the process causes large financial problems for succeding generations. Calatrava's vision for architecture is something every city ought to emulate and shows the cultural value of public spending. Maybe we just need to pay more taxes.

I was really sorry that I didn't have more time to explore all the different buildings that make up the complex. Created by a truly visionary architect - like nothing I have ever seen before.

Very interstting buildings with lots of steel arches, impresive architecture. If you;ve seen the Loro Parque in Tenerife, the aquarium will not be a surprise for you. I might say that the one in Tenerife is much nicer. The Science Museum will be very interesting for kids.

Architect Calatrava's creations along the old riverbed in Valencia are fantastical. They could be space ships from an extra-terrestrial tour group that just stopped by to sample some of the outstanding restaurants of the city. Practicality is another matter. These are not "form follows function" but rather "form follows wild imagination" whether truly functional or not. They are stunning to... More

Firstly we would have liked to spend longer here as it had interesting stuff for all ages.As it was we visited primarily for the space experience and to get some photos for a dinosaur mad grandaughter. We were out of season, but were amazed to be given a time slot in English for just four of us. Ask for your tickets at... More

Worth visiting but better to get a joined two days ticket with Oceanographic, separately costs too much to my view. Nice exhibitions. Great idea of Gene forest with different things to try and fantastic exhibition on Nicola Tesla. A lot of things to learn but with only so much to take when on holidays prepare to spend half a day...
