6 of us went for a walk on the marina towards where the water sports area - you can learn to sail, surf, dive (?) - it was really hot and we found a shack type place with some tables and shade and locals from the port eating ... but we were too late for food so 1 beer, 2 coke lights and 3 sangria’s - and able to chat - we had such a nice time - met a black pug dog... we decided to come back the next day - Steve’s birthday for tapas - wow - a small menu but we had the most amazing food ... and able to just order more as and when. And you can watch the boats

Fantastic place to visit and wander around especially in the sun. Lots of gorgeous architecture and buildings to see. Plenty of cafes and restaurants to visit. A bit away from the centre of the city but worth the effort.

We stopped off at the port on a cycle tour of the city. It is a good way to cover the city give it is flat and has extensive cycle paths. The port is modern and impressive and to the side is the impressive VLC beach. Well worth the effort of visiting.

It is just a huge area where you find parts of the old port, of the Admiral's Cup but also current party locations and more open spaces to relax. Underrated.
