This place started as monastery, then during the Franco regime was a prison, and now hosts a huge library and cultural exhibitions. Definitely worth a visit - especially if you rent a bike...

Enjoyed a fun day walking around the area and this church. We were there Holy Week so it was crowded but got to see a lot of holiday activities as well. Churches in Spain are inspiring.

Este monasterio es un monumento histórico y no un alojamiento. Por tanto, solamente es para visitas y debe buscarse un hotel. Si lo tiene en el centro de la ciudad, hay un autobús que va directo al Monasterio.

As I said in the other question, Monasterio San Miguel is only an historic monument and no a lodge. You must find an hotel and go to the Monasterio only for visit, and you can do it by a bus from center of the city. Regards.
