Beautiful ornamentation delights throughout the interior. Enveloping the columns and arches stucco patterns in the form of flora, cloths and angels give the impression of ascending.
An exceptional ceiling with exquisite designs extends along the nave to the high altar with a fine art work above it.
Completed in the early 1600s, the facade is impressive with great stone work. A soaring bell tower is another fine attribute.

In a city justifiably famous for it's great architecture chancing upon Esglesia De Sant Joan De La Creu summed up the beauty of this city .
The Church Of Saint Joan De La Cruz was once the Church Of San Andres ,located along Calle Poeta Querol and was one of the first churches founded after the reconquest by Jaime I Of Aragon, the church we see today was built on the site of an old mosque ,I think the church dates from the early 1600's with alterations to the facade occurring during the late 1600's ,it's a great looking and historically important church to visit if you're planning a trip to Valencia and easy to locate along Calle Del Poeta Querol.
