BIOPARC VALENCIA is a unique zoo. Its design employs the “zooimmersion” concept, in which visitors are surrounded by meticulous recreations of the natural habitats being presented. Social animals that live together in groups are displayed, as well as groups of different species that coexist in the same habitats. Predatory species are integrated into the visual space, but are separated from other species by barriers invisible to the eye of the visitor, ensuring the safety of both the animals and the people. The animals, vegetation and landscape provide opportunities for discovering the complexity of natural ecosystems.

Firstly I will say I am not in favour of keeping wild animals in captivity, however if it is a necessary facility in this day and age this is an exceptional example of how it should be achieved. Clean spacious compounds well designed around what the animal would find in it's own environment as near as possible. Sadly there was... More

I've never been subjected to so many flies as we were today. The park itself is great - we also enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant. The animal show was a little difficult given the language - but that is kind of obvious and appeared well done!

The bioparc has truly rewritten the rules on the caged animal paradigm. For those who shy away from captive animals for fear of concrete overload mixed with a side of obvious psychological trauma this is the place to go. So refreshing to see animals in a good state of health with clear effort made to ensure their comfort and we'll... More

The Bioparc is the first must see when going Valencia with children. It is a charming place where kids and parents can enjoy a half day observing wild animals living peacefully and not in cages. The Bioparc has a good restaurant with very good prices.

There is lots to see here in a very pleasant environment. There really is an African feel to the park. Just watch the drink machines that can take your money without giving you a drink!

Fantastic zoo - really feel that there are no barriers between you and the animals - they use rock canyons and water rather than fences ! You feel really close to the animals . We had lunch in the restaurant and you can watch the zebras and rhinos from there just across a narrow waterway. We went on the afternoon... More

We travelled down from Vinaros to visit the city and watch Valencia Fc. The architecture both old and new was stunning. The city was easy to drive round and the guide maps made walking around the city very easy indeed. Thoroughly recommend a day trip or long weekend in this lovely city

We queued for 45mins to get in so be warned or prebook so you can walk straight in. Once inside we really enjoyed the enclosures and the way the animals are grouped together like they would be naturally. Loved the under water view of the hippos. Overall a really nice zoo not too big. My daughter was disappointed there was... More

We were really impressed with our visit here this week! The setting is absolutely superb, as you wander round seeing all the animals in natural looking habitats. The giraffes are almost within reach and the lemurs leap above your head - truly amazing! Fabulous day out!
