About

Amazing. A hidden gem. Really impressive paintings and beautiful architecture. Reminding the Sixtine Chappel. Very attentive service. Great audio explanations.

It is true that the ceilings are beautiful, the colors and the natural aspects are amazing. Just go and take the QR code explanation on your own smartphone, works perfectly. Pictures allowed, without flash (not needed anyway)

This is an absolutely stunning sight in Valencia that you cannot miss. We came for a mass service and it was such a unique experience in a beautiful building.

Incredible how among this old historic city, with the busy streets, merchants, & tourists you find a sanctuary of comfort. I was lucky it was part of my walking tour with guide Inga. A wonderful experience and spiritual. Loved it.

Not only is this a beautiful and fascinating church from the point of view of architecture, art and history, but it feels (and is) really well looked after, with a fresh feel and nice calm atmosphere. Even more noticeable is the way in which we were greeted at the entrance and looked after when inside. The guide was constantly showing people where to get a better view from, or explaining the free App, and generally engaging with everyone in a friendly but not overpowering way, to make them feel really welcome. This is so rare in churches nowadays, especially those which are top tourist attractions. The frescoes are stunning and one can see immediately why it is called the equivalent of the Sistine Chapel. Absolutely recommended to all visitors, but look out for the entrance off the street because it is not very obvious at first sight.

It is a bit hard to find the church as it is a bit hidden. Overall the experience was very nice. Although it has frescoes, but does not match with the Capella Sistina.

If you have time, this is a great church to visit. Very ornate. The audio tour is a nice way to tour the church.

Find this church. Its frescoes are quite similar as Sistine Chapel in Vatican. Well preserved and very colourful frescoes cover the entire inside of this church. It is gothic building but frescoes are barock style. This church is little bit hard to notice. Visit is highly recommended.

We bought the combined ticket for EUR8 which was a better deal for entry to this San Nicholas church, the silk museum and the Santos Juanes church. We were at the Sontos Juanes church earlier but entrance was free at the moment due to restoration works. The church had a good audio guide that can be scanned to a mobile phone and should take around 45 minutes. The place had impressive frescos and decent looking stained glass windows.

While this church was on “our list” for Valencia, our walking tour guide really sold us on it when he described it as the Sistine Chapel of Valencia.
Once we finished our walking tour, we went immediately back to see it for ourselves.
Entrance is €7 but well worth it.
Audio guide is really well done (don’t forget to bring your AirPods/ headphones (as audio guide is a download via QR code).
The church is beautiful and well worth a visit.
