We love La Mate beach. It is close to the road and easy accessible. We spent the day chilling on the golden sands. The sea was shallow and warm. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from for lunch or dinner.

Nice beach but at this time you are restricted to roped off squares right next to each other. Having been to Guardamar beach and this not being imposed i really feel it unnecessary as you are unnaturally closer than you woyld be on a normal day at the beach. Saying this, still a nice place to go and further to the tower the beach is wider and you can set up behind these roped areas for more space. Patches of sealife here providing home to schools of fish which was nice!

Always clean, blue flag beach with restaurants, cafes, wine bars, beach huts bars and shops along the beach front. There are a few small shops and the main town square is only a few mins walk. Long sandy beach with a public WC available near the main parking area. Gets very busy in July / August but empties out at 2/3pm when the Spanish go home for their siesta. A really lovely place to spend a week. More of a Spanish holiday area so lovely to be among the locals.

It’s so nice to have a walk on this stretch of beach, ideally first thing in the morning when it’s been cleaned for yet another day of torture! The local authorities do a great job in maintaining not just this beach, but also all the others in the area.

The beach is clean, and there's a boardwalk between the beach and cafes and restaurants. There is plenty of parking, a square surrounded by restaurants. There is a childs play area in the square.
