Always love visiting this place, great views over benidorm, must see at night when all lite up.

Check out the little beach below,
My happy place when I go to Benidorm, just to sit on the rocks and watch the waves crashing on the beach, also mainly Spanish as it's tucked out the way.

A hidden gem.

Benidorm Old Town was originally a fishing village. The natural stone cliff, known as Punta Canfali, divides the coast into two main beaches.

A castle was built here in 1325. This fortress was at a strategic point where it was possible to watch the ships coming. However, in the war of independence, the English fleet demolished the castle by firing from their ships' cannons.

This area is now called the Mediterranean Balcony. Here you can find Castell square, a small monument of 4 cannons and great panoramic views.

Bit of a walk up the hill for my Mum, but absolutely worth it. Breath-taking scenery from up there, where you can see both Levante and Poniente. If you walk to the end, there are some steps down that tak you out to sea, absolutely beautiful! As far as I could see, not wheelchair friendly, but well worth it if you can get some help up the stairs!

For anyone who has negative preconceptions of Benidorm, this is one of the many places they should visit to try and dispel them. This headland in the old town is stunning. A beautiful place to sit and watch the world go by with a coffee or something stronger. The platform, which juts out over the sea, is only accessible by fairly steep steps, but the same fabulous views can be enjoyed from the square behind the platform. Always a must do when we visit

This was great to visit. I went at dusk, and the sunset was amazing. Great views from this sight.
Very interesting back ground. Well worth a visit. (And it's free)
Lovely walk along the beach brings you right to it.

There are 2 main churches in Benidorm St Jaime up in the old Town but the one we used during our stay was Parroquia Neicstra Senor del Carmen which is situated on the corner of Av del Mediterraeno and Avinguda Doctor Orts Liorca , it is a concrete structure and does not look like a Church but it serves 4 Mass each Sunday , 0930 [English ], 10.30,11.30 and 12.30 in Spanish, also at 10.30 during the week.
It is on the main Bus routes going to the old Town probably the best would be the No 10 which finishes it run about 100m from the church going back the way the bus has come.
A good landmark if going by Taxi would be the Bodhran Irish Pub which adjoins the church.
