The Downhill Bike Ride is a brilliant day out. At least 30 kilometers of downhill cycling through picturesque mountain villages, fertile valleys and beautiful mountains of Costa Blanca's inland. Bike and safety equipment supplied. Easy ride for all ages and experience levels. Very safe roads with front & rear mini bus support. The guided walks take you to the beautiful mountain scenery of the Costa Blanca. From easy walks around reservoirs to the summits of the highest mountains in the area you can chose a walk that suits you. Knowledgeable and experienced guides. Languages provided English, Dutch, German and Spanish! All tours are run by registered active tourism company Bike Breaks SL.

I'm a keen cyclist, but my wife's idea of a bike ride is a slow half mile to the nearest cafe. As a compromise on riding bikes on holiday, we booked on this day and didn't regret it. Kris picked us up at our hotel and took us off to pick up the other guests, a trailer full of bikes, and get us up to the top of a mountain. We were briefed on safety and followed our guide cyclist down smooth roads, empty of cars, almost completely dow hill with lovely twists and turns and sights all the way. We stopped every so often to be told about the sights and have a rest,though a rest wasn't needed. We barely needed to pedal to keep moving. Our guide was always at the front with the van behind us. They went at a speed that suited our group.
Once at the bottom, we loaded up the bikes, jumped in the van, and headed back up another mountain for another ride. After realising we were fairly competent, we also went a tiny little climb in, and I thoroughly enjoyed racing at full pelt after our guide, who was in a car for the third downhill.
My wife was delighted to get a certificate at the end and enjoyed the day much more than she expected.
I would highly recommend it to everyone, no matter your fitness and skill.

Great experience! I was completely dreading it in the morning and wondered what I had signed up for, but loved every second.
We were a group of 3, and the only people doing it so felt like a private experience! Tony our guide was great from start to finish - took time to show us the sights and some local history. Ask him to point out the Easter Island Head (Tony’s own spot!)
We’d recommend to anyone coming to the area and wanting to fill the day with something other than the pub!

This was a fantastic day out. Tony and Chris are excellent, very helpful and friendly, and run a very efficient, professional business.
The whole event was well organised, punctual, safe and enjoyable and well worth the money.
I would definitely recommend The Downhill Bike Ride and it is suitable for people of all ages and abilities.

Just back from a two week stay in Benidorm, booked with this company for the Downhill Bike ride and 3 walks.
The downhill bike ride was a wonderfully chilled way to see the stunning scenery and pretty villages - with the surprising bonus of seeing tigers, elephants, giraffe as we cycled gently downhill.
The walks we booked on varied from a three hour gentle walk through the terraces around Relleu to longer ascents involving some scrambling. In each case the walks were very well led, adapting to the abilities of the group.
For every day we were promptly picked up from near our hotel, enjoyed post-activity refreshments in a quiet village (a different one each time), and dropped back.
I would thoroughly recommend.

For the second time we went on the Downhill Bike Ride.
An outstanding experience well organised and suited to all ages.
Time is taken to fit bikes to individuals and the ride fully explained.
You can cycle at your own pace, stop take photos with the ride stoping at frequent intervals to all to catch up. At various locations the history was explained.
A nice lunch in a village.
All nationalities take part and it is great to talk with people from other countries.
A highly recommended trip

Our 5th time to Benidorm and our 5th time on this ride and it was excellent as always. Good pick up time outside our hotel.
Kris drove us to join up with the other vehicle, opposite the Safari Park. In the car park had our safety brief and a practice ride around car park. Listen carefully to your brief, any questions always ask. Kris always gives clear and concise instructions and tips.
Then away we go. Lovely and exhilarating, breath-taking scenery, wonderfully quaint villages, lovely and pleasant cycling conditions too.
So am gonna condense this review as I have placed reviews in the past - we had some lunch at a rural restaurant, Omelette and Chips with a drink, delicious.
More cycling followed then when pulling into the large layby, I expected it to be over, how wrong I was, they allowed us to pedal further, which was great - and was directed to a bar and leave bikes next to trailer.
We all enjoyed a wonderfully chilled glass of beer and laughed and chatted.
Another great ride out!! Thank you so much, see you next time.

Thanks so much for your review and description of our excursion. Yes, we are able to alter the ride depending on the level of the group. The rural restaurant we are not able to use at the moment (July/August 2022) as they are on their well deserved summer holidays.

Had a great day out with Tony and Tone, we were taken up high in the mountains and we cycled down 3 different routes downhill. Scenery was outstanding. The two guides were brilliant friendly and knowledgeable. We were never rushed on during the day and stopped at several points and given local information about the region which enhanced the experience. We were cycling where professionals train and the tight winding roads were amazing. We stopped for lunch and then stopped at the end for a celebratory drink. I cannot recommend this trip enough. Would do it again when I'm back.

Over 40k of the most scenic downhill bike riding. Kris and Tony are first class guides. We were a group of six with mixed abilities on bikes and two of the group hadn’t been a bike for a number of years, and it didn’t matter at all as we felt in safe hands.
From pick up, through instruction and ride, the service and friendliness of Kris, Tony and support team was great. The minibus was with us throughout so if at anytime we wanted to stop we could. If you want a truly different and natural experience in Benidorm this is surely it. We even saw tigers, elephants and giraffes as we passed by the local wildlife park.
We did this ride in early Feb, we took sleeved tops and some of us took leggings although the boys opted for shorts. I would recommend sunglasses and trainers plus take some euros for lunch and a beer at the end.

This is a great day out and a fantastic way to see the mountains outside of Benidorm. The bike ride is split into segments, at the end we did about 40 k through stunning scenery that you can really appreciate on a bike. Don’t be put off if you’re not a cyclist, it’s virtually all down hill apart from a few tiny parts. Really enjoyed the day. Adam was a great guide, we stopped frequently and he explained things about the area. Tony followed in the van and was always there if you needed anything. At the end of the day Tony went well out of his way to drop us of somewhere we requested. 100% great day, great value and great guys. Thank you

Fantastic fun day, highly recommended. We did this together with our godson and he really enjoyed it. Also the guidance was superb. Was a bit hot in the end so a tip would be to leave an hour early in the morning.

And, yes, we pick-up from El Campello as well for groups of 8 or more people. However, we charge an extra of 50 € per van (max. 8 people) to cover extra fuel and working hours.

Hi, we always recommend to book in beforehand. If we are not able to operate due to poor weather conditions, we always offer to change the day. If we're not able to operate on the new day neither, we normally provide a full refund.
Therefore, we recommend to book earlier into your stay in the area to be a little bit more flexible in case the weather has turned against us.

Yes, but I would tie a hoodie round your waist, you do go a long way up. They do have spare clothes and gloves if your still cold.

We got picked up in Benidorm at 9.20 and we’re dropped back by about 4.30. Two rides before lunch and one afterwards. Then on way home stopped for a drink and chat.👌

You are normally able to book online up to 9 months in advance. You can as well book as soon you've arrived in Benidorm directly, via your holiday rep or in one of our ticket offices. We recommend that you book in advance to guarantee that we have still got availability on the desired date during your stay.

I would imagine they will contact you nearer the time with a pick up point ...I wouldn’t worry though we were staying at Port Benidorm when doing this trip last year and got picked up directly outside.

It's up to you. If you are a group (8 or more people) we recommend to contact us directly in advance to reserve a day for you.
If you have got less members in your party you can either book in advance via Tripadvisor / Webpage / WhatsApp / Telephone / E-Mail etc. or you can book via our tour operators / at our booking office in Benidorm as soon you arrive here in Spain. Please, be aware that we can't accept debit or credit card payments on the day of the excursions. If you'd like to pay by card, please, book in advance.
At this time of year we can accommodate you at nearly any day except Sundays.
If you are traveling with children younger than 8 years, please, contact us in advance as well to discuss options. Please, be aware that children should be able to ride a bike safely and should be supervised by their parents at any time.
However, we welcome anybody who's able to ride a bike. The oldest person so far was 89 years old.

The price for the ride is 39 € per adult and 25 € per child. We can offer group discounts for groups > 10 people as well.
The price does not include lunch, but you can bring a packed lunch or have lunch at the Safari Aitana Park.
