As above really. The gateway isn't hugely decorated or awe-inspiring, it's just functional. The drawbridge mechanism is still in situ but no portcullis. Excellent views.

This historic gate is part of the walls and fortifications and you will pass it on your walking tour. It is close to the point where the Running of the Bulls begins.

This old city gate is the traditional entrance to Pamplona via the Campostela de Santiago. There is a ramp up, with a turn into the actual gateway, which has a neat coat of arms emblazoned upon it.

Hang out by this gate in the early to mid-afternoon and greet pilgrims trekking on the way to Santiago de Campostella. Wonderful fortifications, some dating back to the Romans.
