Great defensive fortification, it is worthy to pay a visit. There is a park surrounding the walls where people go jogging or walking with the kids.

A very utilitarian city defence perimeter and very well preserved. The walls actually traverse a long distance and are remarkably intact. Some great views from various points of the city and surrounding countryside.

Loved walking all around Pamplona and being in the midst of history. The walls of the city were so thick I could just imagine how safe you felt behind these walls. You will see them if walking around city.

Great views of the city and surrounding area. Much of it is a park. The walk can lead you to the place where the running of the bulls begins. The walls include some historic gates.

Walking the Camino, I went through the park and citadel. It is very large with quaint walking trails strewn across it. There are paths through the citadel but you can't access all areas. I've seen nicer citadels. This one hasn't been very well maintained but...More

Very interesting, but a bit difficult to get out of unless you turn round and retrace your steps (or maybe this was just me)

Took a nice leisurely walk around this rather epic fortress - extremely well kept and definitely worth a visit.

We walked through the castle from where we'd parked the car, and whilst it was impressive that it was so well preserved, it was mostly just one large open space, and was quite dull. The walls were more interesting, with good views as you went...More

It was blustery but still enjoyable. Take the elevator down to the river park just to cross the modern zig-zag foot bridge-walk in to see the cathedral and then back to the walk.

Fantastic visit to the walla, with some small museums inside and nice gardens. You can relax in the gardens next to the city centre and visit the expositions. It's a marvellous experience

Hi, I would recommend that you spend a couple of days driving around La Rioja and don't miss the many wineyards around that area, especially The Marques de Riscal in Elciego. Also, I would definitively recommend that from... More
