Road bike rental around Torrevieja, Alicante

I rented a road bike (Cervelo R3) for four days in Torrevieja. The website was clear and easy to use and I also rented pedals and helmet. In addition I got Garmin mount for the bike which was a huge plus as it was not listed on the page. Also the bike included all necessary tools including multitool, extra tube, pump and lube. The bike was delivered and picked up at my address in time. The bike was in good shape and was pleasant to ride. I rode ~270km with no problems.

The main reason for the five stars was the quality of service. I dealt with Stuart and got very personal service including fast responses to email, phone calls and finally instructions to pick up and deliver via WhatsApp. At first, I made an error in booking and mistakenly booked the bike in wrong month and contacted Stuart by phone. The error was fastly resolved and I got the bike on desired time. I also got cycling tips and good GPX format routes directly applicable on my Garmin device.

I would really recommend Bike Hire Murcia for anyone who would like to go road biking in the area. I would definitely use this again if I will come back here. Thank you for the very good experience!

Convenient bike hire in Murcia

Booked bike hire with very little notice with Stuart in October 2022. He responded very promptly to queries on bike size and we booked 2 of the Focus bikes for our trip. He delivered the bikes as arranged with additional bits as he outlines. We did forget our Garmin mounts, our own fault, but if u need them, ask when you’re booking so he can bring some. We are regular cyclists when we visit this area and would recommend the service from Murcia bike hire. It’s a super area for enjoying time on the bike, great roads and weather, with no shortage of reasonable coffee stops and a welcome escape from the Irish autumn weather !

Superb bikes, well worth considering instead of taking your own

May 2022

I have used Murcia Bike Hire for a number of years as I find the whole process far easier than taking my own road bikes, at risk, in a bikebox and risking damage in transit.

The service office by Stuart and his team is second to none, in the latest booking we ordered Cervelo bikes, these were delivered to the location we were staying along with spare tyres, tubes and a track pump. A quick adjustment of the seat height and we were ready to go. The costs was only slightly more than the airline costs of taking a bike box on the plane, with no need to rebuild the bike or hire a larger car to take the bike boxes for the party of 4.

Stuart was also able to provide some route ideas and for the 3rd day a full route for us to use - fantastic.

All in all a great service and for the Murcia region a true alternative to taking your own bike on holiday with none of the irsk!

We regularly visit Spain as the family have an appartment in Mil palmeras.

Being a keen cyclist I have always been tempted to take my own road bike but after pricing up all options it just seemed like way too much hassle and expensive let alone the problem with the hire car.

I've always been disappointed in the past with poor quality bikes available to hire, so when I came across murcia bike hire I was surpised to see such a high standard of carbon road bike available for a very reasonable and realistic price.

We decided to hire x2 cevelo R3 bikes for three days and the whole process was effortless. Stuart was amazing! Not only did the bikes arrive bang on time he also kept me updated via what's app, he also went above and beyond with his local knowledge sending me a selection of routes for strava, you can't beat that for service! We had three amazing rides, the bikes where in expectional serviced condtion.

The only downside I can see is that my girlfriend fell In love with how the cevelo R3 rode and now would love to upgrade her bike at home in the UK...I can see this being an expensive Christmas 👀!

Thanks again Stuart we will be back.

Superb service and attention to detail

Having used Stuart at Murcia Bike Hire for 3 years + I did not hesitate to book a hire bike for this trip. The Cervelo S3 (xl) was delivered to our villa within 2 hours of us arriving in Spain with all support tools pumps etc to ensure a trouble free week of cycling on the superb roads of Murcia. A couple of messages during the week to make sure all was good from Stuart gives a reassurance to someone who is riding solo. I would not hesitate to recommend him to any cyclist requiring top quality road bike hire and an exceptional level of customer service.

Can't Recommend Enough!

Hired a bike for 8 days in August whilst on holiday visiting my parents and the whole experience and service from start to finish with Stuart was fantastic!
Been riding for over 10 years now and despite my parents being in Spain since 2004 this is the first time I have hired a road bike whilst visiting them. Found MBH after a quick Google and check on the reviews which are well deserved.
Reasonably priced the booking process was easy, with options to customise for your needs such as peddles etc. Bike was delivered to my parents by Stuart without additional charge and with all the essential equipment needed for the few days hire. He even set me up with some Strava routes to have a go out in the local area. The bike itself was in great condition and felt like new bike day when I took it out for the first time! Had a great week riding before Stuart came to collect the bike again without charge.
Can't recommend them enough and will be using MBH / Stuart again each time I am back in Spain from now on. Thanks again and look forward to seeing you next time!

Orihuela Costa road bike rental

The whole service experience from the early stages of inquiries, planning, making the bike choices all the way through delivering gear was just perfect. I rented a carbon road bike for 4 days during my holidays in the Orihuela Costa region. The communication with the staff was always very prompt, nice, easy and clear which helped me out setting the scene + buddies to ride with for the trip.

Everything just worked and I was able to count everything is going to go smoothly as planned.

Next time looking to expand the bike trip with longer riding routes and possibly combining itinerary stops where need service in transferring gear. Looking forward to touch base back with the crew!

Murcia is a great place to cycle, Spanish drivers give you so much room, making it much safer than cycling in the UK. The roads are also generally in a much better condition than UK roads. I booked a bike online through Murcia Bikes and it was an easy process, Stuart contacted me and dropped the bike off at the address I was staying at. He set the bike up and left me with a track pump, spare tyre, spare inner tube, pump and saddle bag. The bike was a Cervelo R3, carbon frame with disk brakes and an Ultegra group set, it was in good condition and I couldn't find fault, it was comfortable and well geared for the local terrain. The gears were precise and smooth, no chain drops at all.

I really enjoyed riding for the four days I had hired the bike and will definitely be doing it again soon. 28 degrees in October, make sure that you have a couple of bidons with you, it's hot. Stuart also collected the bike and turned up promptly, which meant that I wasn't waiting around. I was really pleased with the service and will be using again.

Great service, communication and experience!

I hired a Cervelo R3 for 4 days, and from the outset Stuart responded to every message I sent. He kept me fully updated during the bike delivery process, and when he arrived made whatever adjustments required to the bike for a perfect fit. It was in excellent condition and I was delighted with its performance. I will definitely use Murcia Bike Hire again, and would certainly recommend them to anyone. 10 out of 10 from me!!
