Before visiting Murcia I discovered that Gaya Ramon was a local artist with his own gallery. So I was pleased to visit this wonderful building and see his paintings. I particularly liked some of his watercolours. I am so impressed with the wonderful building and the fact that entry is free

This gallery is dedicated to the art work of Ramón Gaya ,a local of Murcia. There are many personal artefacts of the artist and his work is interesting The gallery is in a nice building in the centre of town and covers a number of levels. An elevator is available

Lady in the tourist office recommended a visit to this museum and we were so glad we went. It is a delightful building and such a pleasing collection of paintings. A peaceful oasis and all for free.

Of special interest are Gaya' s Hommages. These watercolors are of still lifes with a painting in the background of an iconic painting by a master, for instance Picasso and van Gough. His poster illustrations are masterful quick sketches which convey the essence of the topic with just a few lines.
