Great afternoon on the beach

We made our way to La Manga from nearby Cartagena, drove to the end then found a lovely chiringuito on the Mar Menor for a spot of Tapas and sunbathing.

Perfect beach and mini sea for families and friends to enjoy the Spanish sunshine. Bars and restaurants not far away and odd local shop. Unspoilt

Very good place for drinks with a great view and patio leading on to the beach, not very cheap but not to expensive and the view is worth the extra euros, the natural smoothies are delicious and refreshing.

This is a really lovely place. There are many beaches, marinas, bars and restaurants dotted around this inland sea with wonderful scenery. You will see many cruisers and sailing boats on the Mar Menor when the weather is good. Many a happy hour spent here.

With the highest number of days of sunshine in Spain with its micro climate this is the perfect place for chilling out on some of the best blue flag beaches in Spain. The Mar Menor lagoon means there a little waves and you can walk out in the for a 100metres and the water is only up to your knees,... More

Our tour operator had booked the number of seats to Mar Menor but the train operated did not put an extra carriage on. The train was very cramped , there are about 25 seats and 40 people approxiamtely in ONE carriage. My husband has a medical problem and found it very difficult to stand all the way. The poor local... We always drive the short journey to Lo Pagan to see the birds, the mud-baths and the lovely beach. Was a bit cloudy this time, with only flamingos and a few avocet on the salt flats, but still had a bracing walk along the promenade past the 'mud people' who seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. Went to our usual... More

Beautiful shallow lagoon with immaculately kept beach and ample playgrounds and public toilets. Lovely beach bars and cafes dotted along the promenade which is ideal for long walks and suitable for the disabled.
