Daniel was amazing with all the history of the area. The places he chose for local food were great. We were very full by the time the evening ended.

We learned so much about Madrid from Daniel and ventured deep into the historic neighborhoods where we would not have gone on our own. He shared a lot of stories and took us to places we had seen on Utube while doing research. I wish we had taken his tour when we first arrived because he made great recommendations about what to do while visiting. Surprisingly, we had a lot of difficulties finding information in English.

Touring the the old part of the city with Daniel and learning about some of the fascinating history associated with the area was great. Sampling the food and drinks at some of Daniel's local favorites was very enjoyable and educational. We did not go home thirsty or hungry!

We always like to start our stay in a new city with a food tour like this to not only get the lowdown on where to eat but to hear about the city from a "native". Daniel, our guide and I think owner, didn't disappoint. He was fabulous! We were constantly educated and entertained by his stories from living and growing up in Madrid as well as previously in Wisconsin (!?) Moderate amount of walking with frequent stops, so that shouldn't be an issue. Daniel took us to some of his favorite tapas places--we shared Codfish coquettes (creamy, fried, delicious), charcuterie from Museo de Jambon (the aged jambon was a real treat, as was the draft Amstel) and a sit down meal of soup, chorizo and paella. (the paella was one of the best we had on this trip) Coupled with the new friends we met tasting with us (our group was 5 total) we had a great time and this was well worth the time and money.
