I travelled solo from Pennsylvania to Spain early Dec '21. My work kept me busy till the day of my travel so I had to keep my travel plans in Spain fluid. By good luck, I found Madrid Expert and since then it was happy days for me there. Upon my last minute request, I had an array of tours exclusively arranged for me that was in and around Madrid. My tour guides were two most amazing people - Geza and Linda. Geza is a firecracker, a fellow gemini and we kicked it off just like that. He is kind, smart, super friendly, and an absolute expert who will make you experience Madrid like no other! I had the evening walking tour, Toledo and the bicycle tour with him - 100% worth it. Consider yourself luck if you get Geza as your guide! I also had the Museo Del Prado tour with Linda, and I gotta tell you that she made me fall in love with a lot of Spanish artists. Goya, Ribeira, Velázquez, and Bosch are my favorites. Linda's art tours are class above, she builds a narrative as we move through the paintings, you'll stay hooked till the end of the tour. These are amazing people as tour guides who do above and beyond for you! They are worth your time and money. I would recommend them 100% on and on! Love - Hema, USA.

We were a family of 2 51 year olds, a 20 year old, and 76 year old touring for a week in Madrid and Seville Madrid Experts were first rate, professional and thorough from out very first communication. My initial experience with Carmen when I inquired about Madrid bookings was so professional and prompt that I ended up booking all our tours with her.  She was always quick and thorough.  She also provided thorough answers to my requests for restaurant recommendations and other local information. Geza was our phenomenal tour guide for Madrid and Toledo. He was not only knowledgeable and energetic, he himself was a likeable and fascinating person.  We enjoyed getting to know him in addition to enjoying his outstanding guiding.  His English is perfect as he grew up partly in England He also speaks French, his native language Hungarian and perhaps other languages.  I hope I'm right on this.  My mother, a world traveler, said he is the best she's had. David also gave us an Excellent tour of Cordoba.  He himself is a native of Cordoba, which added an extra authenticity to his tour.  We enjoyed learning that he spent some time studying as a teenager I think in our home state of SC.  His English was perfect as well.  He took the time after our tour to find us a wonderful place for lunch.  And he kindly went back and forth with my husband to the ATM. Fran was our Equally Outstanding guide in Seville.  I believe he is also a native to Seville as he spoke of an interesting experience with his grandmother as a young boy seeing one of the Popes give a service from the Cathedral of Seville. He was extremely detailed and interesting in his tour of the area, the Alcazar and the Cathedral.  He has a lovely accent and was easy to understand even with a mask. Afterwards, like David and Geza, he was also helpful after the tour, helping us find an ATM, find a place for lunch, providing a map with suggestions for meals and other activities. All 3 of these guys are Stand Out Guides and People.  Exactly what you expect for a private tour. A few notes: There is a lot of walking for all of these tours.  We managed, but it might be too much for some.  We were exhausted, but would Not change a thing.  My 76 year old mother did stay back our day of touring Seville due to being tired and having a foot injury. I'm sure, if you have concerns and need adjustments, Carmen can accommodate you. All the guides are Vaccinated and Wear masks as they are required in Spain. We were appreciative of this.   We all travel quite extensively and always hire private guides.  Madrid Experts provided us with the quality and personable guides and service we are accustomed to.  We would love to tour with Geza, David, and Fran again.  We will Definitely be recommending them. Incredible experience, we discovered Madrid from its origins to today understanding past present and future with Javier, which shared with us his thorough knowledge of his city, with passion and an such an amusing way to share facts in a story telling technique. His approach as architect and urbanist made the whole thing just unforgettable. He situated us in context, adapted the tour super nicely to our needs and showed us corners and unimagined facts and places and its connection to the rest of the World. If you are a foodie and night life...he is your man!! he knows exactly where to get the best wine, beer, mojitos, seafood, typical dishes or dance in the city. I strongly recommend this tour If you want to know the real Madrid and have an unforgettable experience

Before our ten-day stay in Madrid I booked a tour of the Prado museum with Madrid Expert and I must say I couldn't've made a better choice. Our guide was simply fantastic: very friendly, extremely knowledgable and capable of making every moment of a long museum tour enjoyable. All our questions were answered in an expertly manner and at the end of the tour we all thought we'd been given a fantastic lesson in art and history. We never felt forced to look at anything we were not interested in. On the contrary: all our wishes were obligingly catered for. I full-heartedly recommend Madrid Expert to anyone who doesn't simply want to tick the Prado but also wants to learn more about the fantastic pieces of art in the museum.

Madrid Expert arranged a private driver & guide for a half day (morning tour) of El Escorial. They worked with us and our schedule for this tour as we were going to start a group tour in the afternoon. We were originally supposed to visit the Valley of the Fallen as well, but it was closed to visitors as Franco's remains were being moved that week. Madrid Expert informed of this development ahead of time, so we knew what to expect. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and we loved hearing about El Escorial & its history. We learned so much that we wouldn't have been able to if we had gone by ourselves.
