About
Flamenco Route Madrid is a touristic and cultural experience that invites you to participate in a dramatized tour about the history of the truth of the flamenco art, about captivaing all your senses and about the feeling of flamenco in one of its most important headquarters: Madrid. "ROUTE ZAMBRA":A historical route with specialised guide + flamenco rhythm class + 3 glasses of wine and two tapas or 2 glasses of wine and dinner + Flamenco show at a Flamenco ‘tablao’ or at a special stage. Private tour From Monday to Saturday Duration: 3 and a half hours approximately. Advance booking required. Min 2 and max. 9 people. English and Spanish languages available. The Flamenco Rout is a walking tour lasting approximately 3 hours. On this route all your senses will be entertained , we'll show flamenco from the theater and gastronomy and we will provide a flamenco show in Villa Rosa (the oldest tablaos in Madrid). The route is dramatized for flamenco artists and includes wine tasting and Spanish tapas. We invite you to awake your inner “duende”. We all feel a special tingle, something that robs us when we see “real flamenco dancing, singing or playing". Our esteemed Federico G. Lorca said “duende” occupies the innermost rooms of our essence, and this is what we will seek along with you throughout the streets of Madrid. Discover the most iconic sites but also the hidden ones, which inside you, are yet to be discovered …

I had been trying to arrange a guitar lesson for a trip to Madrid for weeks with no luck, but then I contacted FRM and it was sorted within days. We did a tour of the flamenco district, a visit to a flamenco guitar maker’s workshop and a visit to a flamenco dancing shoe shop. Everything was tailored to our interests and my partner got to sit in on a dance lesson and was kept company whilst I had my guitar lesson with Alvaro, an absolute master.
Go into the tour with a sense of fun and prepare for surprises along the way. I absolutely made our trip to Madrid something to remember

Thank you very much Neil and Kathy, for us it was an absolute pleasure to design a unique route for your wishes. The fact that you had fun learning and it is something to remember fills us with illusion and desire to continue giving the best of our art and culture. TheDuende hugs you once more! Pasion!

My friends and I did a private route with only four people. Our tour guide took us to some interesting places along the way including a flamenco school, and a flamenco dress shop. I enjoyed seeing the local shops, restaurants, and schools that still support flamenco. Our guide also discussed the history of flamenco which was very interesting. The route ended with eating and drinking at a flamenco show which was my favorite part of the route. My friends and I really enjoyed seeing the passion and performance by the flamenco dancers so close in front of us. I would recommend this tour if you are an outgoing person who likes to meet new people and try new experiences while learning about the flamenco culture.

This was the highlight of my trip to Madrid, I can honestly say I was spellbound by this tour. This is not your average, run-of-the-mill city walk, here historical characters literally come to life in a mixture of comedy, costume and theatre. Delightful surprises emerge with every turned corner as the story of flamenco dancing unfolds before you. Internal visits can include flamenco cafes, clothiers, luthiers (guitar makers), shoemakers, dance studios and the fitting climax, attending one of the best flamenco shows the city has to offer with dinner provided. The guides are knowledgeable, vibrant, engaging, sexy; tasty morsels of food and drink punctuate the route. You may well end up learning a few steps yourself, it's not compulsory but it's extremely likely! The flamenco show I witnessed brought me tears of joy, the artists were so expressive, so explosive. If you begin knowing nothing about the art of flamenco, you'll feel like a graduate student by the end of the night. If you're already an aficionado, prepare for duende.

Incredible! A big thanks for this experience! My friend and I love Flamenco and we were really immersed in the Flamenco atmosphere with this tour, Amalia is a passionate artist and she shares her passion. It was all funny, interesting and moving, especially with the show at the end of the tour. We have seen several Flamenco shows but this one was a real experience. Our boyfriends join us for the show and even if they haven’t seen a lot of Flamenco show, they especially enjoyed this one as well. We are all really grateful for this and wish Amalia and her team all the success they deserve.

This was an excellent way to discover the secret corners of Flamenco History in Madrid. Beautiful people telling you beautiful stories about the most beautiful heritage of Spain.
Forget about those screaming clowns dressed in ugly T-Shirts offering 'free tours' (which are NEVER free).
Take a flamenco tour instead with Flamenco Route Madrid and you will live the rest of your life with a bit more 'Duende', which your loved ones will appreciate.
