This rose garden was the most attractive part of the whole El Retiro Park for me. We were there when all the roses were in full bloom and it was spellbinding with all those rose odors coming from different angles. There are different types and colors of roses and it's really beautiful here.I can not imagine how the place would be when it's not the season for roses though.

The rose gardens is almost a gardens with a gardens as it’s an adjacent garden to the Parque del Oeste. It some way off the main tourist circuit and not even easy to get to. But I thought it was well worth the effort. The gardens were in full bloom and is just a sea of colourful roses.

Lovely to stroll though the rose garden while checking out the park. Great spot for some "take time to smell the flowers" moments and photos!

Cable car was out of order but found a great rose garden. Most had already flowered but there were still lots to admire. A great free place to visit in Madrid

In May all the roses were blooming and it was great time to visit. Free entrance. Walking distance from Principe Pio. A nice day out.

The Parque del Oeste is an often overlooked corner of the capital & the northern part, near the A6 highway, provides some pleasant woodland walks close to the city centre. As for the rose garden, fine if it's flowering time but there's nothing exceptional about it & you can easily give it a miss if not.

Went here with the kids and they loved it (7 and 4 years). I gave them my phone and they probably took over 100 photos of al the roses 😊

A lovely rose garden in the Retiro park.  Many different types of rose and walking through there is a myriad of colours and rose scented smells. There’s fountains and sculptures and a pond area with Lily’s. It’s a nice place to walk around and good for photos. Very tranquil.
Take a break and chill out. Buy a drink or food before you get in the park as the vendor stalls are expensive
