About
LAS TABLAS is the ideal place to spend an evening experiencing the song, dance and guitar of Flamenco while enjoying exquisite Spanish cuisine. Every night, our audience’s imagination is captivated by the passion of the song, the intensity of the dance and the sound of the guitar being played to the beat of clapping hands. Every night is unforgettable. We’re a young, dynamic, artist-led Flamenco stage, centrally located at Plaza de España, number 9, in the very heart of Madrid. You’ll find us between the Royal Palace’s Sabatini Gardens and the Temple of Debod. Our repertoire includes varied, representative Flamenco at its best, which is always open to proposals from emerging and acclaimed artists alike. Our two daily shows, at 7 p.m. and at 9 p.m., feature performances by great artists and meticulous staging.

Top ways to experience Tablao Flamenco Las Tablas and nearby attractions

The area

Address
Neighborhood: Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.

We enjoyed the show. The dancers were great. We opted for the option without dinner. We were lucky that we got there early and got really one of the only good seats if you opted for without the dinner. The couple next to us complained they couldn't see anything and basically then proceeded to put them in an even worse spot until they left altogether. They were terrible viewing spots, tbf. There were also people behind us and they were not happy with their seats either, which were also horrible seats. They may have been walk-ins, I don't know but customer service was lacking. They pack you in like sardines. It was actually ridiculous how many people they put in there. It also is very dark and weird inside. Not what I expected.

Anyway I'm not an expert in flamenco but I don't think it was the best flamenco show in town, but its also my first so I'm not a great judge of that. Just only know from the research I've done.

You get what you pay for and this experience is that in a nutshell so take your chance or pay a bit more!

Thanks for your opinion. We are very sorry that you did not feel comfortable. We do not exceed the capacity we have and we have three levels of height so that people, even if they are behind, can have good visibility of the show. The public comes by reservation. Perhaps that day many people came without a reservation. In any case we will take your opinion into account to try to improve. We care a lot about the quality of the show and good attention to the public.

This flamenco show was absolutely amazing. The talent, skill, passion, and art of it all was wonderful to experience. The venue is small and intimate, and it’s pretty easy to get a good table with an excellent view. I recommend getting there early to ensure that you get the type of view that you would like. I also recommend buying the tickets in advance at least a day or so. The food is also really good and the sangria was yummy as well. If you are visiting Madrid, I highly recommend catching a flamenco show. It is definitely a significant part of the culture. La Tablas was an amazing place and I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

This was our first flamenco show. The place is intimate. We were seated up front and could really see the expressions of the dancers, singer and guitarist. They were all great! This was the only show that you didn't have to purchase dinner as well, just drinks. I only gave a 4 because they didn't have gluten free beer, which is EVERYWHERE in Madrid.

The place is cozy but a little small. The service is quite good and they have a varied menu, but not very wide. Ah, the acting is phenomenal, exquisite. The singers are passionate, and the dancer moves gracefully and saltire. Master his suit perfectly, his feet move to the beat of palms and guitars as if connected by an invisible thread. The dancer cannot be left out, phenomenal also with a very manly and elegant bearing.

Amazingly talented guitarist, singer and both the flamenco dancers. We couldn't feel when an hour went by as we were so engrossed in their performance.
The behavior of staff was very friendly too. We were requested not to take photos, I will really miss not having their pictures in my collection.
Enjoyed our evening with family. We would recommend this show to fellow travelers. Greetings from India 🇮🇳

How to go to Spain without spending a flamenco evening...impossible, according to the reviews on the site I chose this place, it was wonderful, two perfect dancers, a singer with an extraordinary voice and a virtuoso guitarist, that's not all. It's not big, it feels very authentic, and the welcome is friendly. With a glass of white wine (included) we have an idyllic moment

In my trip to Spain I visited 3 different Flamenco shows... I had been to Madrid before so I knew what these were like.

In Flamenco we have the guitar master(s), the voice and the Flamenco dancer... the importance is in that order as well.

This place had an awful guitar master... I think he was just strumming along and his technique was pretty horrible. I had to leave after about 40 minutes of guitar torture.

If the guitar master stinks...it causes a domino effect, and the other two can really save the show.

The voice was ok and the dancer was pretty decent, but because of the bad guitar work and because I have finally seen all three different shows tonight I can compare them and give an honest assessment.

Out of the three I saw, this one was the worst because of the guitar. The others where Cardamomo and one in Sevilla.

The show would be 1000% better if they fired the guitarist, used two guitars at the same time like Cardamomo does.

Pros: you can take pics and video.

Cons: bad guitar work...no... horrible guitar work.

I am spanish and keen on good flamenco. I have gone to many tablaos, specially when friends from abroad come over.
After having enjoyed the best, I can tell, this is a true flamenco show, very cozy venue, well priced, where you can go as a family.
The group is excellent, amazing guitarrist and singer. They change the host dancer every month or so, and Marisol and Maria Antonia, permanent dancers are well groomed in all the styles.
This is not a suitable place for those who wish for castanets or fans, or shows similar to those in hotels. This is the real stuff, for those who want to enjoy very good flamenco and don't want to spend a fortune.
You can eat tapas, extremely well priced. Bottle of good wine, only15 €, and very good sangria as well.
All in all, best value in town for a show that is authentic.
