About
Charming tavern with an exquisite selection of wines, cheeses, sausages, toasts and Mediterranean salads. In addition to good wine and quality food you can enjoy cocktails prepared with care, in a cosmopolitan and intergenerational environment, where good conversation and culture are present.

Visited on Sunday 1st Feb 2015 as a result of viewing previous reviews on here. Very easy to find and is 2 minute walk from Anton Martin Metro station. Arrived about 1 o clock and had to wait for a table for about 20 minutes. Very friendly staff and welcoming. A glass of red wine is a staggering 2 Euro, and is a lovely drink. Spent a very pleasant afternoon drinking red wine and eating tapas. As is the norm in Madrid free tapas are given with every drink. We also ordered empanadas and chorizo inferno, which is chorizo on fire and gorgeous.
My only concern would be that this is a tiny place and it is obviously very popular with locals so it may be difficult to get a table during warmer times of the year, however do not let that put you off, great very cheap wine and lovely food.Highly recommended.

In the lively barrio of Lavapies, I was looking for a spot to match the vibe of Madrid…
…and i've found it!
A jump in an old-time ambience, authentic, relaxed but full of energy. Warm wood and lights.
You can drink a perfect pulled "cana" or chose a spanish good wine from the wide selection of bottles, always served with a free tasty tapa. Great the long-drinks too.
Good dishes made with care (hummus and salmorejo super!).
The staff is pleasant, kind and professional.
You soon feel at home.
Fair prices.
Highly recommended.
In poco tempo puoi sentirti a casa.
Prezzi onesti.
Caldamente raccomandato!

La Vinícola is a very good option to take something in center city. If you want to taste the best Spanish wine and eat simple and delicious tapas, typical Spanish tapas, La Vinícola is the best option. It's next to Anton Martín (metro) and Reina Sofía Museum. Enjoy it.

This is the type of bar you want to keep to yourself on a trip to Madrid ( so keep this a secret )
The bar area itself has wooden panelling with old bottles of wine etc opposite the bar itself. There is a cosy , welcoming atmosphere. It is the type of place you could easily let the afternoon slip away
The bar staff were friendly , There was a steady flow of locals and I am sure it must be busy later on that night.

Really lovely little place. I love the old dusty wine bottles, old stone and woodwork - very cozy. Went on a Saturday and it was filled with families and friends, lots of warm happy energy. I will go again next time I'm in Madrid.

We enjoyed our tapas dinner with a bottle of Godello, a local grape varietal from northwestern Spain. We felt we were in a local neighborhood bar frequented by locals with lots of personal touch and care. The food and drinks were great.

Local country-style with all comforts. Food and wine are excellent, employees and bosses are very friendly and there is an air of home. For me is the best place in Lavapies. My favorite place in Madrid.
