This monument is close to the Opera House and Royal Palace. It is surrounded by benches and shade trees which makes it a nice place to just relax if you're touring in the summer heat.

Not a statue I'd seek out specifically, but worth a look if visiting the palace or the nearby gardens. There are seats nearby and shady trees if you want to sit and people watch too. Visit early though to avoid the crowds.

Luis Noval Ferrao known as the Cape Noval was a soldier killed in Morocco in heroic circumstances rendering him an ongoing symbol of Spanish patriotism. Hence the statue which is rather nice as war memorials go.
