Arturo and his team were absolutely excellent to work with. They helped to coordinate our transportation with my power wheelchair to and from the train station in Madrid and our walking tour with Sean. It felt like VIP treatment! Sean was a fantastic tour guide, helping us even navigate the accessibility of the metro and everything in between. Otherwise the team was timely, provided lots of communication, and reassurance. With COVID-19 happening, we had to adjust our transit and train tickets to a day earlier. Arturo handled everything with just a couple of hours of notice, even meeting us at the train station to help us communicate and exchange our train tickets. We couldn’t have done it without him. Do not hesitate to book with them!

Dear Megan, I have no words. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this rewarding review about your trip to Madrid, sharing the experience and the service provided by our company. I am very glad to know that you enjoyed the accessible tour in Madrid led by Sean, our guide. It was a real shame that your trip coincided with the start of the COVID-19 outbreak in Madrid. We were delighted to be able to help you coordinate transfers and change train tickets quickly, so that you could return to the US on time. The most important thing for us to know is that you are safely back in your country and with your family. I appreciate very much your recommendation. This information will help other people with limited mobility willing to travel to Spain. Please stay safe. I look forward to meeting you in the very near future! Kindest regards,

I rented a power mobility scooter from Accessible Madrid during a recent weekend in March. The equipment is exceptional, the prices are very reasonable & Bryan & the staff are knowledgeable & extremely helpful. Accessible Madrid also is favorably located just a few meters from Retiro Park & very close to all the tourist areas of central Madrid. Do yourself a favor & don't be limited by your disabilities from seeing firsthand a beautiful city. Rent a modern, excellently equipped scooter from Accessible Madrid & get out there!

I both rented a power scooter, and booked a day tour with Accessible Madrid and had a great experience with both! I rented a power scooter and they were great with discussing what my needs and plans were and making a recommendation. They dropped it off at the hotel and picked-it-up no problem. I was even able to extend my rental a couple of extra days. The scooter had quite a good range. We were out rolling around Madrid nearly all day every day and by the time the battery would start to go down, we were tired and ready to head back too. We also booked a day trip to Segovia with Accessible Madrid. They picked us up from the hotel in an accessible van, drove about an hour and 15 min from Madrid to Segovia, with our guide Arturo giving us a bit of history and background about some interesting current politics (it's an election year in Spain) as we passed sights along the way. We had an additional licensed tour guide in Segovia and between the two - the history and stories of the town were great. They also knew where to ask for ramps that may not have been put out that morning, and the best ways to go that would make a tour of the town most accessible and enjoyable. It was amazing to see the sights and views from the Alcazar - all accessible on the scooter. I will definitely be using Accessible Madrid again for both scooter rental and tours when I visit again.

We contacted Arturo Carrido of Accessible Madrid when planning for a trip to Spain in September 2019. We were particularly interested in determining the type of assistance he could give me as my mobility is limited. Arturo was very prompt and professional with his responses offering interesting itineraries, including the rental of a mobility scooter in each location. We arrived in Madrid on September 14... the scooter had already been delivered to our hotel, as requested early that afternoon. Arturo arrived with his driver punctually on the following morning and we commenced our touring at the Prada Museum. Arturo had arranged for a colleague, Shaun, to escort us through the Prada. Shaun is something of an art expert and was able to point out the most significant paintings and explain characteristics of each artists and their works. The rest of the tour picked up most of the significant sites in Madrid, finishing the day with an informative tour of the Royal Palace. The following day we visited the magnificent city of Toledo. The third day we visited Segovia, including a visit to the summer palace La Granja de San lldefonso with its superb gardens and fountains. Arturo was with us for each of the three days. He was extremely knowledgeable of all sites we visited and knew all the best routes for mobility scooter access. Arturo arranged a modern van which accommodated my scooter along the way. On each day he arranged a terrific luncheon venue . In Segovia he introduced us to suckling pig which is a specialty in Segovia....just superb. Arturo’s driver was a very safe driver... he was so helpful and caring throughout. Whilst my mobility is limited my husband was able to explore an extended list of sights without disrupting the itinerary that Arturo had organised. After Madrid my husband and I travelled to San Sebastián where Arturo had organised an itinerary with a colleague/partner, Asier Lopez, based in San Sebastián. A scooter was delivered to our hotel on arrival. We had a reservation for our dinner that night at Kokotxa ... superb cuisine. The next day was exploring the old town, stopping at numerous restaurants/bars (outside) for pintxos. San Sebastián is a gastronomic marvel. Day two we went to Bilboa with the highlight being the Guggenheim Museum. Our third day involved a trip into the Basque area of France and a visit to Biarritz. Our guide, Asier, organised interesting wine tasting and restaurants along the way. Our driver, Mikel, was both informative and helpful. In Barcelona Arturo had organised two days. Of touring with his associate, Mirjam. Once again a scooter was waiting at our hotel. On the first day we toured Barcelona ...the highlight was Sagrada Familia. The next day we went to the Montserrat Monastery which was amazing. Our guide, Paul, and his driver were both informative and helpful. All of these arrangements were handled efficiently and our tour went off without a hitch. We would have no hesitation in recommending Arturo of Accessible Madrid and hope to be able to travel with him again. His service is outstanding.

We are from the UK and we hired a mobility scooter for my 88 year old father while we were visiting my daughter in Madrid. We chose a lightweight one which folded itself up via a remote control key fob. This made it extremely easy for me to place it in and out of taxis on my own. The staff in the shop were very helpful and spoke English. We paid a E100 deposit but the day I returned the scooter to the shop it was refunded straight back on my credit card. The hire cost was very reasonable E30 a day and the staff demonstrate everything very simply to the user. The company operate from a shop called 27 Bikes and we caught a taxi there to collect the scooter. Be aware of their opening hours, as they close for a period during the day but are open 7 days a week. I think for an extra cost they will deliver the scooters to your hotel. I would not hesitate in recommending this company, but would advise that you book online in advance via their website in order to secure the type of scooter you want. I emailed the company in advance to ask what type of scooter they recommended for my use and again they replied very swiftly with a response. So all in all an excellent company to deal with.
