About
The Ballet Flamenco de Madrid belongs to the Ballet Flamenco de Madrid Cultural Association. A team idea that after years of experience, preparation and research, has created a repertoire of shows that summarize their artistic knowledge. Born from the need to break the topic stating that the Spanish dance is only flamenco. It is therefore different to any other proposal in which the whole is pure protagonist of a story woven through the feelings it conveys dance

If you have only 1 night in Madrid, do yourself a favor and go to this show . The dancers are amazing . The choreography is beautiful..... there is no words to explain such an artistic event .

To be honest: I did not expect much, since I am not really into folkloristic dancing. I had seen Flamenco before in other places but it never got me.
I went to this show because my 14-year-old daughter wanted to see Flamenco.
Now what do I say? This time it really did get me. It was unbelievable. And I am not talking the colors of the dresses. I am talking live music, live singing and an outstanding live show performance on stage. You won’t believe how precise and accurately the protagonists move on stage while their steps and kicks interweave perfectly with the music.
This show is a must see. Highly recommended.

Thoroughly enjoyable performance with a highly talented cast.
Extremely worthwhile to see whilst in Spain, to enjoy that Spanish fusion of Flameco/Ballet/Opera mixes together.

If you like Broadway, West End, dancing, ballet, or you're just curious about flamenco and have a pulse, don't leave this off your itinerary. I wondered if this was just a touristy gimmick, and bought the cheapest ticket to save money. Boy, did I regret not buying a better ticket!
I saw Carmen and it was outstanding!!! Flamenco makes tap look easy, the staging was excellent, the show simply breath-taking! I've been lucky enough to watch the American Ballet Theatre in New York and world-champion tango dancers tour in Melbourne (where audiences give huge applause to the musicians too!). Thought this was world class! Definitely hope to return and to watch this awesome company again!! 💃🏼

I saw this show when I first moved to Spain. I really enjoyed it then. Now, I have been living in Madrid for the past 6.5 years and I took my parents to see this show. They loved it. I think I was even more impressed this time having more experience with Spanish culture and the flamenco culture. The show is a perfect mix for people who want to experience the beautiful music and story behind Carmen and traditional flamenco music and dance. Parts of the show incorporate live singing, guitar, flute, percussion and traditional dance. I recommend this for visitors as well as those who live here. The performers are intense, passionate and draw you in. The stage is basic and allows you to focus only on the performers and the story they are portraying. If you enjoy this show it will provide a stepping stone to hear more traditional flamenco music and see more ballet flamenco.

We loved this show - Carmen when we saw it - in a lovely old theatre with fantastic dancing and super music. The mix of opera ballet and flamenco worked really well. Definitely worth a visit over touristy flamenco bar shows.

on a whim, we went to this ballet/flamenco show after we had a disappointed flamenco show at cardamomo the night before and it is many times better than we expected - its adaptation of Carmen into flamenco is just refreshing. I would recommend it to my friends without reservation.

forget about those other tourist trap flamenco shows where what you see is those inconsiderate people's cellphones in front of you - instead, come over here to enjoy a real and entertaining Carmen in ballet & flamenco format, you will not regret it!

We weren't really sure what we were going to see, especially since it was so easy to get tickets. Didn't anyone like it? Wow, were we surprised.

The Carmen performance was out of this world, with something for everyone. The story line (Carmen) was perfectly matched with the whole flamenco idea. The combination of recorded music (the opera parts) and flamenco (a wonderful conjunto), and the mix of flamenco and ballet, along with staging and lighting, made for an artistic feast.

If you like Carmen (opera or not), or want to see outstanding flamenco dancing, or like ballet, or like well-done artistic interpretations, you owe it to yourself to visit.

We plan to return twice when our friends visit soon.
