If you want to experience the worst quality in customer service go to Casa Hernanz. I go to Madrid often and I’ll never go back to buy espadrilles there...even if their shoes are a bit cheaper than in other places. Being mistreated isn’t worth it!

We visited based on all the positive reviews here...lucky for us there were no lines...we waited less than 5 minutes to be helped. Agree with other reviewers that it’s best to look in the shop windows and take pictures of which espadrilles you want to try... makes it much easier. Came home with a cute pair!

Fabulous prices for these handmade traditional espadrilles! What a selection. Follow the advice of those that offered a review before: take photos of the style and color you want and convert your size to European footwear sizes!! My other advice: avoid summer travel - FOR GOD SAKE!! or go early in the morning as soon as the shop opens and watch out for siesta closures!

We lined up 20 min before the store opened & waited about half hour to get in. We knew to take photos of the window display of shoes we were interested in, which expedited the process once we were waited on. The staff was helpful with sizing and patient with us while we made our selections. Great souvenir from Madrid!
