The ABC Serrano is a small mall with a large supermarket at the top floor, a Mercadona Supermarket, where you can find almost everything that a supermarket carries. At one corner of the mall there is a small shop that sells pajamas and I always find good quality cotton pajamas at very reasonable prices. The mall has other interesting stores that sell quality goods.

Mercadona supermarket is in ABC Mall Seranno, Salamanca. It was 10-15 min walk from my hotel in Cheuca (Room Mate Oscar). The Mall is queit with less people.

It is well worth a visit because Mercadona have cheaper products. Example, chocolate from €0.40, other supermarkets the chocolate is from €1.00.

Some of the brands in Mercadona cannot be found in other supermarkets such as Dia, Carrefour, Ingles Cortes.

I also bought a perfume in Mercadona. Later, I saw the same perfurme is more expensive in Ingles Cortes. Therefore, you can save money if shop here.

The ABC Serrano Shopping Center is being reconstructed right now. However the Mercadona Supermarket is open. The shops may open later this year.

The entire complex is currently (june, juli, augusts & september 2016) being rebuild. Very, very few shops are open and the entire complex looks like and feels like a construction site.

We consulted the Frommer's Guide 2012 and there we found out that ABC is a shopping mall. In fact it is not.
It is a small shopping center with a number of boutiques, a supermarket Mercadona and a restaurant.
We were very disappointed, because we came there in hopes of getting into a place, where it is possible to spend all day.

We expected more and were disappointed that most of the shops were close. That was probably our fault as it was a holiday but it looked liked too many malls in the USA that have lost shops.

ABC Serrano is a luxurious shopping complex. We visited it briefly while on our way to a nearby restaurant. There are some really expensive shops in there. There are fashion boutiques as well as restaurants and cafes and everything else in between. However just looking at some of the prices on display we felt that we could not even afford to look, let alone buy anything; well, almost! The building itself is quite elegant and an attraction in its own right. Worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.

Very, very stilysh boutiques in the ancient ABC Newspaper building. Located in between Serrano street and Paseo de la Castellana in a pemium location. There’s a cafeteria and a supermarket inside. During summer the bar at the terrace has a great ambience, it closes in winter time.

We came to ABC Serrano by accident as we were looking for a supermarket but, what a present surprise! This ABC Serrano was a spacious, empty, clean and well facilitated shopping mall. It has got cloths shops, accessorises, juice bars, a good supermarket (called "Mercadona") and even Habitat. Fortunately for us, it was only 12 minutes walk from our hotel (Barceló Emperatriz) and it was always desert inside the mall. Unfortunately for the business, the mall was always empty which I believe was due to its quiet location.
Fingers crossed, the business at ABC Serrano will pick up soon as I'd hate to see the shops closed down due to lack of people flow. Ultimately, this is actually a good shopping mall with high potential. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

This mall is located in the Calle Serano shopping district which is a long street filled with stores. Despite being empty this mall does have bathrooms, is indoors/air conditioned and has an indoor ATM to use safely and securely instead of using one on the street.
