We did two tours with Arantxa:
Ultimate Spanish Cuisine Tour of Madrid and Madrid Tapas & Flamenco Tour
If there were an option rate up to 1000, we would surely do it. Arantxa led us on two amazing tours last October and we have not stopped talking about them and her! Arantxa is warm and responsive, and she really KNOWS HER STUFF! Tapas were soooo good as were the other beautiful and tasty foods. She was totally accommodating to our special food needs, for instance, instead of meat filled croquets which the others ate, they made cod croquets which immediately went to the top of our list of favorite foods! LOVED having a front row seat to the Flamingo dancers.

I took the Ultimate Spanish Cuisine Tour of Madrid yesterday morning and it was fantastic! This is my second Devour tour in the city and it was definitely worth doing. Our guide was a lovely lady called Arantxa, she was so welcoming and friendly, with a wealth of local knowledge. The fact she was a cook herself gave an extra insight into Spanish cuisine and living. The tour was in the morning and I ate so much I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day! The food was so good I even sought out some of the places the following day for more. Solo travelling is always a little daunting, it was so nice to see the city with such a friendly, knowledgeable guide, as well as with a lovely group of people. I can thoroughly recommend.

The Madrid tapas and flamenco tour was awesome ! Arantxa was an amazing tour guide as she educated us on the art and history of flamenco. Her details were appreciated especially while watching the show as her details helped enhance a more valuable experience . I truly recommend this tour for any age group ! Both my 19 year old and 80 yr old dad loved it !

Incredibly interesting tour. We sampled 6-7 eating establishments from a food market to a sweet shop. Fabulous value for the price. Our guide, Aranxte provided us with insider information about Spanish eating and drinking customs. We learned so many things about types of olives, hams , cheeses . Ask for this guide. She makes the experience so fun and informative.

We did the “Madrid Ultimate Spanish Cuisine Tour”, and it was amazing! Our guide (Yvonne) was super knowledgeable about every stop we made, and prepared as well (with a binder of pictures and maps to give us visuals of regions of Spain among other things). I would HIGHLY recommend one of these tours to ANYONE who is coming to any of the locations where these are offered (Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Portugal, and I think a few more...and a new city to be named soon!)! We saw and learned so much, and there’s no way we would have found the breakfast stop (Confitería El Riojano, opened well over 200 years ago by the royal pastry chef), the Nunnery (not listed in our summary, but we were able to buy free baked cookies from the nuns), and many other unique experiences. If you’re in a European city, check to see if there is a Devour Tour that you can do, you won’t be disappointed!!

Hola Justin! Thank you for writing this fantastic review about the Ultimate Spanish Cuisine Tour with Yvonne. It´s true that she is a fantastic guide and foodie to lead your around the center of Madrid. El Riojano is a very special place to start your morning and I hope you enjoyed your sweet breakfast. It´s places like that and the convent that are hidden away and hard to find but make for the most memorable moments here in Madrid. We´re happy that you´d recommend us to your friends and family and I´m thrilled to share with you that we just opened in.. drumroll.. LONDON! We hope to see you there! We have always loved eating empanadas in Spain, especially those in Galicia, so it was thrilling to learn how to make them under the skilled instruction of Arantxa. She showed us exactly how to make an empanada, from the dough to the filling, while also discussing the interesting history of this classic Spanish food. A week later, I made my first empanada at home according to Arantxa's recipe. It was delicious and I can't wait to make another. It is going to become part of my regular rotation, as there is so much variety of what you can stuff the dough with. I recommend any cooking class with Arantxa. Even on Zoom, which is not easy, she was a very engaging teacher.

The virtual cooking class, Summer Tapas and Sangria with Arantxa, was so much fun. She was very informative and engaging. She made the event very personal and answered all of the questions that were asked. I can't wait to start cooking and make all of the recipes to share with my family. Thank you Devour Tours.

Because we travel with our kids, we booked a private family tour. The tour, itself, is geared towards children, but we adults learned some things! Our tour guide, Oliver, was awesome! He brought history alive for us, and the places we stopped for "snacks" were just fantastic. He is a wealth of information and gave us great advice on things we should see after our tour was over. It was such a personal touch. Devour Tours runs such a significant operation. Yes, I guess they could be pricey, but what you get in return is worth its value. I appreciate being able to tour as a small group, not like the large ones we saw around Madrid that didn't seem much fun. We will book with Devour again.

Hola! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback for Oliver´s Kids Walking Tour. We love to hear that both parents and kids were able to take away some new information while snacking on typical foods throughout Madrid. As you mentioned, we offer small group tours. We do this for a few reasons. One is that with a small group, we can take the time to truly show off Madrid, its secrets, its oddities and fun facts to kids. Another is that when we take our groups into family-owned or historic restaurants, we want to blend in without drawing attention or distracting the authentic environment that we want to show our guests. We would love to show you and your family another city. Did you know we just launched in London? Un saludo, Caitlin English Madrid Operations Manager, Devour Tours

We did the Tapas, Taverns, and History tour on our first night in Madrid. It was a perfect choice! Tania is an amazing guide. She explained tapas, both the cuisine and the "attitude" for "doing" tapas, and beverages we were unfamiliar with. Of course the food and drink she chose for us was delicious, but even better, each beverage and dish came with her explanation of history and culture. We walked around parts of the city center where Tania explained both Spanish and local history, using architectural highlights to anchor her talk. She also taught us how to recognize and choose good tapas places for ourselves. On top of it all, Tania is good fun to spend an evening with. At the end, she gave us recommendations for the rest of our stay in Spain. We had a wonderful evening. And we feel ready for the rest of our adventure in Madrid and Spain now. I strongly recommend this tour, and if you can request your guide, Tania!

Wonderful food tour! Carolyn, a native madrileña, was a delightful guide. Her knowledge of the history of Spain/ Madrid was so interesting and led to a deeper understanding of the food & people. The stops were delicious and we ended the tour more than satisfied and full. The 4.5 hours flew by. A big plus was the people we meet on the tour. I would go back to all the places we ate at

Hi Eloise, We´re so pleased to know that you had a great time on Carolyn´s tour. Madrid has over 1000 years of history and it sounds like you really got a hands-on experience learning about it through your amazing tour guide, the historic places she brought you too and even through the food you tried. We hope that you'll join us and learn more about Spain in one of the other cities where you can find Devour: Barcelona, Seville or San Sebastian. See you soon,
