Everything was too salty to finish... The venue was fabulous, the aperitif and appetizers were good, but other things were just nightmare. Some other groups were also complaining about it so it was obvious too salty.

Dark and small casino. Staff friendly but atmosphere not fun at all. Much preferred Casino Barcelona. Way more fun. Find the "two free drink" coupon if you go.

The place is breathtaking and definitely picture-worthy. The food was excellent and had a wide variety for everyone. The only thing disappointing was the service. It is not at par with international standards which is a shame because everything else is wonderful.

We were here for a conference dinner. and hors d'oeuvres hour. This is a wonderful place. Lots of opulence, a beautiful double staircase up to the next floor. On the ground floor, there was a large Foyer where we had drinks, along with a parlor. Also a couple of very nice hallways with comfortable couches and chairs. As we took... More

Well this is a building with a difference, this is a building with style, this is a building that stands out. Great entrance, we were here on a business evening and were served a delicious meal, loved it.

Wonderful spot to visit to see a little of the older architecture of Madrid. We were invited for a business networking dinner and thoroughly enjoyed both the venue and the food.

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
