- Joana PLisbon, Portugal112 contributionsNice view over madridGood place with nice view of madrid. The acess to tower is easy there near metro station thenjust need to Walk few minutes until tower.! In my opinion a place likes should be selling souviniers and staff should talk in english which very bad all over madrid very hard find staff talking english in a city with so many tourists.Traveled as a coupleWritten September 10, 2022
- Travels with LucyDownend, United Kingdom107 contributionsGreat views!Costing just €3, a trip up in the glass elevator to the top of this tower is a must do in Madrid. Adjacent to the American museum and Moncloa Station its easy to reach. I wasn't on the viewing deck for more that 10 minutes but it was long enough to get views of the city and surrounding area. Definitely worth a visit.Traveled soloWritten February 15, 2020
- Beatriz MDüsseldorf, Germany5,289 contributionsView of the cityInteresting activity if you have already checked Madrid's museums and parks like me. The building is located near the metro station Moncloa, entrance cost 4 euro. I was basically alone there so I could enjoy the view from multiple perspectives. However you cannot take very good photos due to the protection grid, you cannot get close to the glass to put your lense there so I had to use a little bit of zoom so the windows were not visible on my pictures. I found it good that there were panels explaining about the different buildings.Traveled soloWritten June 13, 2021

It's very easy to get to the place (metro 3 or 6 to Moncloa station). There was no lineup when we went there, I wouldn't buy a ticket in advance. The views are amazing from up there. The place has a lot of potential, maybe they should open a small coffee shop or a bar up there that you can enjoy while looking out at the city below.

This was such a hidden gem & so reasonably priced. It only cost four euros to go up a glass elevator & see spectacular views of Madrid resulting in some great photos. There aren’t many amenities in the immediate vicinity so you have to walk 5-10 mins for a drink or food but it’s well worth the trip & highly recommended.

The views of Madrid from the gallery atop this tower are magnificent. And there was ample information available on what we observed. It was interesting identifying buildings across the landscape. We spent about 30 minutes up there and took some photos. Fee was €4 per person. Easy to reach, easy to do. Interesting for young and not so young, as long as you are not afraid of heights.

The Faro de Moncloa is a transmission tower and observation desk which is some way off the main tourist circuit in Madrid. An interesting visit and not very expensive at € 3, but you should probably book in advance because the tickets are timed. The views from the observation deck are amazing and there the usual information boards with photos and explanations of the views.
As it's some way off the main tourists sights, it's good to combine a visit to Faro de Moncloa with Museo de America which is only 5 minutes walk away.

Oh I highly recommend, there is no queue thank god maybe because this place is not very well known by every tourist, costs only 3 euros and you enjoy the lift in the elevator and the astonishing view of all madrid from above.

Advertised as a 92 metre high tower with a panoramic view of the city!
Firstly it is only part of the city because it is the far side of the hill from Gran Via so you get a view of the university and a few other places.
However, after riding up the elevator that takes you to the observation deck you will notice:
1) You cannot get close to the windows.
2) The windows are dirty so you get an obscured view.
3) The outdoor part is locked off.
Maybe it only costs 3 Euros but it was a disappointing experience as we expected a little more.

Thought we would visit this tower as it looked interesting. When we arrived the whole area looked very run down. Entrance not particularly easy to find and surrounding area very untidy. Views from the top were impressive but so much was missing from this attaction.

One would have to assume that the purpose of this structure/building is to get a nice view of the surrounding area. However, after you pay your 3 euros for the ride up the elevator that takes you to the "observation" level, you step out and are immediately disappointed. Reasons: 1) The glass was significantly dirty all around. 2) It is designed so that you are allowed to stand no closer than about 10 feet from the glass. This causes a lot of reflection off the glass which limits the view and ruins any chance for nice photographs. 3) In some places there are surveillance cameras pointed outside and mounted on tubes which also obstruct the view. 4) There is nothing up there, to eat or drink, only empty space. In summary, they must have spent a lot of money in constructing this structure only to totally fail in its design for its intended use, namely, to have a clear unobstructed view of the surrounding area. They should have visited Seattle's Space Needle, Toronto's CN Tower or the towers at Niagara Falls and observed some common sense results. I would not use my time to come here unless you have seen all of the rest of Madrid.

Madrid is magnificent from street level with its impressive buildings and architecture, however, looking down on Madrid from above is one of the most amazing images you’ll ever behold.
The Mirador Faro de Moncloa is situated in the Madrid Universitario area and the viewing gallery is approximately 93 metres above ground. To get there take Metro Line 3 to Moncloa Metro Station and the tower is a short walk from the station itself.
There is a small admission charge of 3 Euros but well worth it. A glass lift transports you to the observation gallery from where a whole series of landmarks and monuments stretch before you - the Royal Palace, the Telefonica Building, the Almudena Cathedral, the Four Tower Business Area, Palacio de Cibeles, the Picasso Tower and many more. In fact you are looking over the entire city of Madrid.
In the distance the Sierra de Guardarrama mountain range can be seen. It is estimated that on a clear day you can see for a hundred kilometres. It is also rumoured that you can make out the famous El Escorial de San Lorenzo in the distance.
This is one attraction that should be on every visitor’s itinerary.

This is an observation deck. The view from here was great as you can see the whole city of Madrid.
The price of the ticket was 3 Euro, which was very reasonable as compared to other towers around the world.
