The area

Neighborhood: Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.

Food Outstanding; Flamenco Not Authentic-- At Least Not in August
Food was exceptional (five stars), the best we've had in Madrid. The "flamenco" dancing (three stars, being generous) on 18.8.2023 was modern dance with flamenco flourishes thrown in-- excessively overdramatic like a Vegas show. If you want the real thing, come to New York and see Soledad Barrio.

    Quality flamenco and gourmet food
Went for a flamenco show and was pleasantly surprised to discover a Michelin star place with very nice food. The soirée starts with the dinner and when everybody is ready- approx 19:30 - the show starts. The food is gourmet style: spectacular avocado gaspacho and delicious salmon. Then a five chocolate desserts. The wine menu is comprehensive. Now the show: good performers, top quality, rather classy than commercial.

Great show, good food, good time
I bought my tickets a few weeks in advance and it was a good thing because on a Monday night, it was completely sold out. They have a few different menus if you are also getting dinner with your show...some you can get for around $60 with prices rising to around $120. And your group is allowed to get different menus...my husband opted for one of the more expensive ones and I went with the cheapest and the establishment was fine with it. I thought the food was really good. And the waiter was very helpful and cheerful. His English was very good too (though we attempted to use our best high school Spanish from twenty years ago.) The show is after dinner and they are pretty strict about being quiet during the performance. Which I appreciate! It's so rude for people to be clattering silverware and chatting with friends while performers are making their best effort. And everyone was talented. I was afraid we'd be getting a passable show, especially on a Monday night, but was willing to be forgiving because we are just relaxing on vacation. Nope. This was a real effort. They have their credentials (awards, etc.) listed in the program. Definitely worth the effort.

Best Flamenco Dinner and Show in Madrid!
My wife and I very much enjoyed our evening at this Michelin-starred restaurant and flamenco dinner theatre. The food was delicious but unfortunately we had to eat the final 2 courses in the dark ( during the performance) because our service was slow. The one hour flamenco show was truly outstanding!

    Fabulous Flamenco
However many flamenco shows you might visit, you will be very fortunate if you see one of good as this. We went just for the show (plus drink). I don't know if I would bother about dinner. The performances were stunning: dancers were Eduardo Guerrero and Sara Jiminez on our visit. 70 minutes of genuine high voltage emotion. Extraordinary and a real highlight that should not be missed.

I have no clue how this all came about, maybe a miscommunication [on my part] when speaking to the concierge, about learning Flamenco and or a restaurant with a show... again my fault I think I must have emphasized learning more then a dinner and show?

I was here one afternoon sitting in the back [my choice] hoping this was going to be a class because tables had been moved out f the way, but turned out to be the history of Flamenco.

Fifteen minutes in I was bored, my mind began drifting and no longer paying much attention I decided to take a few photos especially the gorgeous floors... I quickly learned taking photos is a big fat NO NO!

Again, I simply wasn't paying attention [all my fault] I heard/remembered nothing about any photo(s) rule from the beautiful woman instructor, with my attention elsewhere, she must have asked me to stop taking photos more than once, not an excuse just the facts, I've already admitted fault.

Thats when some man who was there just like me, sitting in the front [not an employee] stood up and shouted, she talking to you [insert extremely nasty word] in shock and total disbelief anyone would, should or has EVER spoken to me like that... I turned around to see who he was shouting at, only to realize it was me he was being nasty towards.

Immediately I apologized to the woman instructor, and being completely embarrassed I collected my belongings and calmly walked out. I learned nothing about Flamenco [my fault] and I should have left when I was no longer interested and bored.

I did not ask for a refund, feeling horrible about causing a disruption and seeing there are tons of rave reviews on TA regarding their dinner-show, maybe one day I'll go back to have dinner with a show, this time without taking photo's.

Enjoy every adventure ahead of you and all the diversity our planet offers

Every element of the show was fantastic! The singing was passionate, the dancing was captivating, and the musicians were first rate. I had no idea that flamenco and flute went together, but it was mesmerizing. I love Spanish guitar, and both players were excellent! We didn't have dinner at the theater, but I highly recommended the show.

The experience is one of a kind. A true flamenco show with different styles shown, and more importantly true passion for their craft. Menu offering perfectly in tune with the space and show. A must do in Madrid!

I have never seen anything like this performance. It was absolutely mesmerizing. The main performer, Eduardo Guerrero, demonstrates such power, control, and grace —every fiber of his being is fully engaged. The choreography was amazing, the singers full of emotion, and the guitar playing was stellar. It’s a small, intimate space. You must go!

The show itself was five stars— I enjoyed the music, dancing, and singing. 3 stars for the food and the overall disorganization of the service. It took 40 minutes before I got bread and water, and another 15 minutes for my order to be taken. I don’t understand how with a set menu and a high number of servers and runners, it can take so long that courses are still being served during the show. A suggestion for management on how to improve: it seemed each waiter had a row of tables to serve. Perhaps have the server get the orders from every table first so that everyone at least roughly gets drinks and first courses at the same time. It seemed like the server was serving one table at a time, which was wild because the first table in the row was finished with their first course before the last table had ordered. It would have made the show more enjoyable later not to have servers in the background still serving courses.
