Lost Night in Madrid.
Oct 2016 • Friends
I knew I would like this place when I walked in and the DJ was playing Suede, followed by David Bowie and then Pulp. I do not remember much after that both in terms of the music or the venue itself. However, I do remember waking up and feeling like I'd had an amazing first night in Madrid. Highly recommended.

I came here to see Dave and Phil Alvin
Nov 2014 • Solo
The tickets were very cheap and I was able to buy them ahead of time on the Internet, which was a big plus. It's standing room only to see the band, and I got there early and was standing up front. It would have been less fun to stand in the back. Beers are €5, which I thought was excessive, so I only had one. If you want to tank up on beer before the show go to the Irish pub up the street. Or just buy beer at the supermarket across the street and drink it in the plaza, nobody cares.

This is a music venue, not a bar, and I wouldn't come here if it wasn't to see a particular artist/band that you're interested in. I must say it's cozy and you can stand right in front five meters from the band, which is pretty awesome. It's a bit out of the way from central Madrid, but you can get there on the metro without much problem.

I am a huge fan of the Alvin Brothers, and I was thrilled by the show. The sound and atmosphere were excellent. That is what I came here for, and that is what I got.

Quality-price relation: The tickets were twenty freakin' euros. That's just amazing for a performance of this quality. These guys are up for a Grammy this year for best blues álbum, just in case you didn't know. Beer at €5 is of course excessive, so just order one or two to keep your throat damp during the show.

The Courteeners gig
Went to see The Courteeners here on Thursday night. Great little venue! Very intimate gig.
Bar staff didn't seem too keen on understanding English but with help from pointing at others peoples drinks we got our order across

Good bar

Went on halloween, being new to the city I had no idea where to go so me and my friends ended up just following a random recommendation from a blog and really ended up having a good time! Free entry, drinks weren't that pricey and they had a band playing. Would definitely go again, because I'm not really into scene-y clubs and this place has a great atmosphere.

Not bad, too bad for the bouncers
Jul 2013 • Friends
Nice club, but a very violent door management, yesterday we saw the bouncer being very rude to a group of tourists ( including girls) absolutely crazy in europe to have people like that working for you.
Anyway the bouncer there seems very dodgy we saw him crush a normal pill to put it in a bag and sell it to someone. Unreal....

High Energy and great live music
Not sure the origin of the nautical theme other than to support the name but the interior looks like the inside if an overturned ships hull. The stage is at one end and the bands will rotate quickly on a busy night. Good clientele and good servers make for a fun night. Beers are 5 euro and up but that is to subsidize the bands I am sure. Not far from Real Madrid stadium if you are in town for a match.

Nice little indi bar/club
Nov 2012 • Friends
Had a great night in this small`ish place right next to the Irish Rover pub. they played good music and there was a good mix of young and "not so" young all enjoying a great night out. Its got 2 bars and they do pour a mean Vodka and Coke that put any of our sized measures to shame. We staggered out about 4am but i`m not sure exactly what time it shuts.....Top night, if your into indi with a dash of mainstream popular stuff, would recommend......and as an extra Bonus it was free entry (well we didnt pay anything and I didnt see anyone else pay)
