Multi-story residential buildings decorated with ornate balconies line the traditional, quiet, and pretty streets of Chamberí. Humble storefronts and neighborhood taverns are scattered across the lower levels down every block, and here and there, there's a cluster of tables on the sidewalk. It isn't ever crowded, but people are always out, poking into the tiny bakeries, hardware stores, and tobacco shops, or ducking into a bright, unadorned cerveceria to have a coffee or beer by the bar, flip through the paper, and check the sports score. The round Plaza Olavide, where the fairly regular network of streets breaks form, is among the most green and lively spots. Restaurants line its circumference and sought-after outdoor tables fill the center of the plaza, where people relax to the sounds of kids playing and street musicians' tunes.

Este cine junto con el Roxy A son uno de los cines clásicos de la calle Fuencarral. Es toda una institución que milagrosamente todavía sobrevive. Me gusta por sus salas con sabor a antiguo y de grandes proporciones.

Asientos con poco espacio

Al menos una de las salas(la 3) tiene una escalera muy empinada lo que dificulta la movilidad de personas mayores. Los asientos carecen de espacio suficiente por lo que quedas con las piernas encogidas. En el lavado la célula fotoeléctrica se desconecta muy rápidamente y quedas en la oscuridad más absoluta.

Las salas Roxy A y Roxy B cerraron en 2013; de hecho, en la calle Fuencarral actualmente solo existen los cines Proyecciones y Paz.

los cines roxy de madrid ya no existen

abiertos en 1953 como dos salas gemelas pero separadas (entonces no existian los multicines), y con dueños distintos durante muchos años, eran de los pocos cines antiguos y con gran pantalla que quedaban en madrid.

el roxy a (una sola sala, con unas .1.100 butacas), cerro en el verano de 2012. el roxy b, con dos salas desde 1995 (una sala en la planta baja, para 600 o 700 espectadores y otra sala en elantiguo entresuelo para unos 300 espectadores, ambas con grandes pantallas y muy comodas) cerro en abril de 2013.
