Best place in Madrid to do some sport activities, run or stroll all over the park. But this is also the place where you can take a deep breathe and relax. So nice and beautiful park area in a hectic city. Here you can see...More

I was in Mardid with my 9 and 6 year old children and we ended up at Madrid Rio on the Sunday evening of our visit - just around sunset. I had read that there were some wonderful playgrounds in the park. We used the...More

Had a nice walk by the river, not much to see but modern and old bridges all along the park over the river. Nice weather and slow morning in the city

Probably easier to get off at Legazpi Metro station and walk across the river bridge to get here. There's a large neon sign on the roof. Functional, unfussy hotel, plenty of amenities nearby.

The Manzanares river was renaturalized by opening the dams and taking the traffic underground, which provides a really nice and welcomed park in the middle of the city. For bird lovers, it is a good place to see local birds

It is a great park to spend a day or half of it with the family. Beautiful, organized, children have plenty of great attractions to play around. You can make a picnic or find food there. Easy to get there with public transportation as anyplace...More

This is nice place for a stroll along the river. There's often not much water in the river, especially in the summer, but the landscaped areas around the river are great, good for cycling or jogging too. Lots of cafes and play areas with swings...More

Don’t doubt it. It’s absolutely worth it. A walk from Plaza de España to Principe Pio, and to step in to the riversides is really nice. You can have a drink in some of the many terraces you find along the river, which ultimately has...More

Assuming you will be staying around downtown, the best option is metro Piramides (Line 5). Go out of the metro station, cross the street and you will be at Madrid Río. Hope you have a great time in beautiful Madrid!

If you walk from the Calderón to the Matadero (Legazpi), I would say the cafe and sunbathing area is just over half way on the north bank.
