I recently went to Madrid with 2 friends and we wanted to see The Prado but didn't want to feel overwhelmed by the 1000's of painting there so we booked a 3 hour tour. It was pouring with rain and there were long queues to enter - we went straight to the front and were in the museum within minutes... More

My husband and I took the Avila and Segovia day tour with Hernan. He picked us up at our downtown hotel, and we drove to Avila. On the way to Avila and throughout our trip, Hernan told us about the history of medieval Spain, and engaged us in friendly conversation, taking an interest in us and our travels. He did... More

Impossible to imagine a more delightful private museum visit than one with Mr. Hernan Satt! We have done several across three trips to Madrid in the past year, but our tours this week were complicated by the addition of friends from Germany and Austria. Mr. Satt conducted our tours simultaneously in both English and German (not easy at all) and... More

What a wonderful way to tour the Prado Museum! Myself, my daughter and two of our friends booked a private tour with Madrid Museum Tours. We chose the History of Spain Tour, guided by Irina. Irina was so knowledgeable and interesting! She really brought the paintings to life! I feel a private tour with Madrid Museum Tours is money well... More

Before beginning, some context for this tour may help the reader. I have toured many "must see" sites in Europe. To name only a few: Westminster Abbey (abbey tour guide); Tower of London (Tower guide); the Louvre (Context tours); the Colosseum (Context Tours); Vatican Museum (Walks of Italy); the Doge's Palace (Venice guide); the Alhambra (private guide), and Versailles (Versailles... My husband and I were privileged to share much of our five days in Madrid with Hernan Satt, owner of Madrid Museum Tours. Don't be deceived by the title of the company; MMT is so much more than a private museum guide. Yes, of course, you must explore the Prado and other art galleries with them; whether viewing the great... More

We did the Velazquez and Goya tour with Irina as this was our second visit to the Prado and we wanted to focus on Spanish art this time. The tour was excellent! Irina did an excellent job of explaining the techniques of both these giants of Spanish art and explaining what made them masters. We learnt a lot and Irina... More

I highly recommend this tour as we had an absolutely wonderful experience with our delightful tour guide, Irina. Irina is engaging, informed and one of the best guides we have ever had. The Prado museum is too big and overwhelming to see in its entirety and if you try to do it on your own, you don't know where to... More

Irina was an amazing Prado tour guide! My husband and I learned so much, and it made our first Prado experience truly memorable. Without the historical context and guidance Irina provided, I doubt we would have had as fulfilling of a visit. Irina also has a wonderful personality and brought humor to her descriptions of each piece of artwork. I... More

Visiting one of the greatest museums in the world can be daunting. Do yourself a favor and book a tour with an expert! We contacted madridmuseumtours.com after reading many positive reviews. They were very responsive and informational. The cost for a private tour (your very own group of friends or for you alone) is 158 Euros plus 33 Euros VAT)... More
