Arrogant staff not enough changing rooms
It was as if they were doing me a favour

Worst customer service experience ever! Very very disappointed
Jan 2020 • Couples
My partner and I took a trip to Spain where we decided to do shopping at various Zara Stores in the city centre. We then entered Zara located at Calle de preciados to do some shopping and to purchase shoes we had seen online. Very excited about our shopping experience and proceeded to the 3rd floor where all men’s clothing and accessories were located. Once we arrived on the 3rd floor we browsed through a couple of items and eventually found the shoes we saw online but the only thing we found was the “left shoe” of the pair and that was the last pair available. Now this is where the experience just went downhill! We then approached a Zara associate on the floor who was arranging some T-shirts’ by the name of Ismail. My partner approached him and politely asked him for assistance, the response we got was shocking, with a complete and utter response Ismail turn to my partner with the worst attitude and responded by saying “What do you want?” In utter shock my partner dropped the “left shoe” of the pair we were enquiring for an said to me “We are leaving”. I then approached Ismail and required an explanation as to why he was so disrespectful to my partner, and he just looked at me and proceeded away from the stand he was positioned at. I then proceeded to the ground floor and spoke to the manager of the store but it was so difficult to comprehend my message over to her as she could speak English very well and she just said “sorry”. This had dampened our entire shopping experience that day and ended up leaving back to our hotel as the customer experience at this Zara store was completely shocking. We all know what it’s like to work with customers but sometimes just putting on a smile even if you don’t want to can really make a difference. Ismail character and attitude towards customers mainly to non Spanish speaking individuals can cause so much distress especially when you haven’t experienced that before. I would suggest that the management deal with this kind of behavior immediately to prevent future customers like myself to walk out of a store and losing revenue to the business! This is to conclude that I won’t be returning to the store again in order to prevent being humiliated my a Zara employee again.
