What a fun morning. A bicycle tour around Madrid is the best way to see the city. I had an extremely knowledgeable guide which made the tour that much more enjoyable. Even though the temperature was at least 95 degrees fahrenheit I stayed cool and the breeze from riding was pleasant. Don't hesitate to take the tour even with high... More

4 of us took the Bike tour in early July with Kaspar – we do find that a Bike tour is a lovely way to see a city. This Bike tour lasted just over 3 hours and, during this time, Kaspar took us round the main sights in Madrid and explained their significance. We also had a short stop off... More

If you like to do a fun activity with your family or friends I recommend this bicycle team. Took the Madrid City tour last year and enjoyed it so we planned a similar bicycle tour round the historical site of El Escorial were we stayed now. It included visiting the Monastery and some hours biking in the beautiful landscape surrounded... More

Bravo Bike Tour was awesome. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and also very kind to us. We decided to do the 3 hr city bike tour at 9am bc it was cooler out earlier in the morning. Our guide took us everywhere and even into the market to go through and get a snack and for a light bite towards... More

This is a great way to get your bearings around some of the major sites of Madrid. The pre-tour organisation was first class - good communication and clear instructions about where to meet, what to bring and what to expect. On arrival we were paired up with our bikes (tailored to our heights) and off we went. Sebastian, the lead... More

Excellent tour, value for money. This tour takes a refreshing approach to giving back to the customer with quality inclusions such as free bottle of water and café break. Form the start, you are provided with sensibly geared bike with a handy small front compartment position on the front handle bars. Just the thing to hold the occasion item such... More

Many thanks for your very thorough and detailed review of your Bravo Bike Tour. You are quite right that “much depends on the human element", and as we have been doing these tours now for 17 years, this is the aspect of our business we have worked hardest on. There is no greater pleasure for our company than to see... More

I went on this tour with friends so they could get an overview of some of the major attractions in Madrid. Sebastian was a terrific tour leader, always paying attention to how everyone was doing. His narration was spot on, providing some history and inside tips at many of the locations. Even though we were biking in a busy city,... More

We are most grateful for your more-than-generous recommendation for Bravo Bike’s tour. We are pleased it met, if not exceeded your expectations. Indeed, the busy city of Madrid has not always had a reputation for cycling-friendliness, but Bravo Bike has worked hard to get it that way. Also we put much effort into selecting and training our tour guides. Please... More

We've done a lot of bike tours in cities and this was one of the best. Excellent guide - Sebastian with help from Theo. Easy safe riding even when on the roads. We did it the first day of our visit and it was very helpful to orientate us to Madrid. Very good bikes. Went to all the major tourist... More

Many thanks for your kind commentary: we are delighted this was a good introduction to the city of Madrid, as clearly this was your first visit here. And you sensibly did it “up front” during your stay. It is also most gratifying to know that Bravo Bike’s tour comes out well in comparing with tours available in the other major... More

Took this bike tour on may (since I had only a day in madrid). Very friendly, hospitable people. I arrived a bit early and they had a small office with good reception. Informative trip and there was another guy who clicked pics all through our tour around (13km) and it was shared to us . Nice bikes and we had... More

Thanks for your enthusiastic comment, and for coming such a long way to visit Madrid and take our bike tour. Just for you to know that our clients can always depend on our staff for recommendations of good places to eat, and other places of interest not included in the tour. Hopefully you’ll see fit to return one day, so... More

Staying in Arguelles

Neighborhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
