With Sylvia as guide we spent half-day on a walking tour of Madrid Old Town and a full day visiting Salamanca using a private-hire vehicle. Both tours were excellent, well organised by Sylvia and we learned so much from this friendly and delightful lady. Sylvia has very detailed knowledge of the history of Spain, particularly in respect of the many places we saw. We were also able to stop briefly at Avila en-route from Madrid to Salamanca, so flexibility in the tour was an added bonus. Her knowledge of the Royal Palace in Madrid brought the place to life, and the photographic opportunities she suggested at Salamanca Cathedral were superb. Sylvia is thoroughly recommended as a guide and we would definitely hope to use her again.

Silvia Romero is a fantastic guide on so many levels. My family of four, with two adult children, hired her for two, four-hour walking tours of Madrid, including visits to the Prado and Royal Palace, along with a visit to Segovia. She is incredibly knowledgable, and also willing to tailor the tours to your interests. She provided additional reading information per our questions, and made suggestions for other cultural experiences such as Flamenco and more. She has a very fun personality, and speaks excellent English. Our entire family immensely enjoyed our time with her. I cannot imagine a guide who can provide a better experience.

Silvia takes you through some amazing places, telling the history and quirky stories in a funny and informative way. All that, combined with drinks/tapas pit stops on the way, made this trip absolutely unforgettable. Don't miss out on this if you are in Madrid - even if you have been in the city several times before, Silvia will show and tell you things that you do not find as a regular tourist.

We had 3 days in Madrid my wife my 2 kids (6&3) and me and wanted to get the essence of it and the kids entertained... Quite a challenge. Silvia composed an exclusive menu mixed culture ( including treasure hunts for kids), cuisine ( went to restaurants only locals recommend), entertainment ( private class of Flamenco in Madrid most famous school), sport ( early morning footing by the royal parks..) and last but not least shopping to buy the best Jamon y Vino in Town , books and clothe.. Silvia mastered it all.. We spent a unique moment and the kids did love the experience ... The treasure they found? A 1949 version of Don Quichote inFrench for kids...

Silvia did an amazing job at showing us the ins and outs of Madrid. Always from a cheerful and fun approach, she showed a very well rounded and thorough knowledge of the city, its history and its culture. She made our tour through the city and the Royal Palace one to remember. We learned so much and just wanted the tour to keep going. 10/10! MUCHAS GRACIAS SILVIA!

Sylvia looks us on a great walk around the city, it was very relaxed, stopping for tapas at good, traditional locations. She talked us through the history of Madrid, the royal families, Spanish traditions, and some of the history behind specific dishes we were eating - why Madrid is so great for seafood, tasting different jamons - and drinks (often made in-house at the places we stopped).

Overall it was a great afternoon and definitely recommended, Sylvia is a fantastic guide, interesting, intelligent, friendly with a great sense of humour, and clear love of travel.

We spent two 8 hour days with Sylvia as it was our first trip to Madrid. She is a delightful young woman with very extensive knowledge of the city. We visited all the major museums as well as the Royal
Palace and the major tourist attractions.
There wasn’t a question that she couldn’t answer.
She has a deep understanding of art and history as well as knowing what’s “hot” now.
You couldn’t ask for a more friendly, honest and intelligent person.
We highly recommend her.

Silvia (Un Amigo en Madrid) is amazing showing my father and myself around Madrid, Barcelona and Toledo. Rain or shine she was ready with a plan. Whenever we approached a new location, monument, or restaurant she was ready with explanations and numerous times anticipated my questions. What impressed me most about our time with her is her attention to detail and the little but significant things she would do to make our trip memorable. From the positive experience I give her more than 5 stars, 10 stars, A+++++.
