The museum on on the town square
Aug 2019
The square itself is amazing. The restaurants are full from 3-4 pm for coffee and a bite, and a good glass of local wine enjoyed at any time. You ask for a good white or red, and every glass I had, I enjoyed. The museum was basic, but good to know the region and how it developed if you want to understand the terroire.

Go there!

Logrono is a proud and pretty city which tries to offer the maximum to its visitors. And for free!!! The museum was very well organized and everyone can be sure to find something of both genuine interest and amusement for themselves. It presents an array of beautiful and intriguing pieces of art from the past and present and also a lot of historical information supported by great artifacts. The museum staff is extremely friendly and highly professional. Thanks for a wonderful experience :)

Excellent pre-historic and Roman finds
Jul 2019 • Couples
This is a well layed out museum and has many rare and complete finds from pre-historic and Roman times. We did have to show some ID to be allowed in so make sure you have your passport or driving licence with you.

Well Worth the Visit
Dec 2018 • Couples
This relatively small museum is very well done and worth a visit while in Logrono. It does a very good job of covering the long history of the region. It will only take about one hour to tour the museum but it will be time well spent to learn the history of La Rioja.

Loads of interesting information - I learnt heaps about the region. There were some great artworks and fantastic detail relating to the camino and its impact on the region. The staff were helpful and it was free.

Nicely presented museum.

The museum traces the history of the region from the Stone Age onwards showing beautiful artefacts from wine, religion, art as well as a social history section. Not too heavy and includes information panels in English. Nice experience for all ages.

Stunning!

Really wonderful eclectic choice of exhibits over three floors housed in an old C18 palacio. Lifts. Beautifully set out. A brief film to start then progressing from ancient man through to works of art. Flint axes, early pottery, apparel of Iberian soldiers, Roman mosaic flooring, religious carvings, exquisite screens, early furniture: all that went to make up this region. Airy, well lit and beautifully displayed. Many larger museums could copy. In mid August inexplicably we were almost the only people there; suited us but would like to sing its praises. Free entry but we were asked to show one passport as security.

Very nice museum with artworks from the area displayed in style and well signed

This museum is worth an hour of time. It´s free of charge, a few steps from the Tapas Street "Calle Laurel". The exhibits show an abundance of "church art pieces" ranging from the 12th to the 18th century in all their splendor, as well as newer paintings and tools of daily life. Thank you Logrono for making this availbale to visitors.
