In this museum, which is totally free, you can discover the local color and the history of La Rioja through the time, from the prehistory to the 20th century. The museum was very well organized, well explained and what most impressed me is that the pieces are from different parts of La Rioja, so you have the possibility to see the different cultures and economic, artistic activities contained within this Comunidad Autónoma, this region of Spain. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. If you pass by Logroño, don't miss it. It is also located in the middle of Laurel area, full of restaurants and bars to eat delicious tapas and wine

In this day and age free entry is unusual but that is what you get here. From prehistoric times to more modern paintings by local artists this museum is certainly worth a visit.

The square itself is amazing. The restaurants are full from 3-4 pm for coffee and a bite, and a good glass of local wine enjoyed at any time. You ask for a good white or red, and every glass I had, I enjoyed. The museum was basic, but good to know the region and how it developed if you want to understand the terroire.

Logrono is a proud and pretty city which tries to offer the maximum to its visitors. And for free!!! The museum was very well organized and everyone can be sure to find something of both genuine interest and amusement for themselves. It presents an array of beautiful and intriguing pieces of art from the past and present and also a lot of historical information supported by great artifacts. The museum staff is extremely friendly and highly professional. Thanks for a wonderful experience :)

This is a well layed out museum and has many rare and complete finds from pre-historic and Roman times. We did have to show some ID to be allowed in so make sure you have your passport or driving licence with you.

This relatively small museum is very well done and worth a visit while in Logrono. It does a very good job of covering the long history of the region. It will only take about one hour to tour the museum but it will be time well spent to learn the history of La Rioja.

Loads of interesting information - I learnt heaps about the region. There were some great artworks and fantastic detail relating to the camino and its impact on the region. The staff were helpful and it was free.

The museum traces the history of the region from the Stone Age onwards showing beautiful artefacts from wine, religion, art as well as a social history section. Not too heavy and includes information panels in English. Nice experience for all ages.
