What a fantastic winery! We enjoyed a fantastic tour of the incredible Ramon Bilbao winery in Haro. Our guide, Victor, was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun and it made for a really enjoyable and educational two hours. The winery is very impressive and everything is presented immaculately. The shop offers all the wines individually as well as some fantastic presentation packages, accessories and glassware. The winery tour was fascinating and even included a short film documenting the harvesting process in a small cinema room. The tasting room was just perfect to enjoy sampling the wonderful rioja wines with the added benefit of Victor's explanation and experience.
We had lunch afterwards in the fantastic restaurant where we enjoyed an excellent selection of great accompanied, of course, by more fantastic RB wines. We thoroughly recommend this winery and the whole experience it offers.

Christina was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable she spoke good English which made the tour easier for us.This Bodega is very modern and uses the most modern methods, which is an interesting contract to other Bodegas in Haro. The tasting was excellent we were given notes that we could write our own opinions on to add to the information provided on each of the 3 different wines. Also dry biscuits and dark chocolate to try with the last wine.Although this wine was not sweet it really completed the chocolate ,a real surprise and nice to know you don't just have to have a sweet wine with pudding. One wine really had a whiff of tandoori mix, unless we really are missing our curries.Christina was so helpful and not patronising towards us non wine buffs.

We have been coming to Ramon Bilbao for years and we love their wines. The tasting experience (and purchasing) is vastly improved now all the building works are completed. Delicious wines that improve in the glass are a treat for Rioja wine-lovers.

Our tour guide, Ana, gave us an excellent explanation of the wine making process and the history of the Ramon Bilbao brand from its beginnings in 1924. She showed us the different types of barricas where the wine is stored during the fermentation process and answered all our questions. Then the best part: a tasting of various wines. A fantastic experience!

First a great explanation on how they make wine, we continued with several tastings and finally a VR tour. I only missed visiting the Vineyard.

Thanks a lot for your review, Manuel!
We truly recommend you our vineyard experience for the next time, with which you can complete the experience visiting our vineyards 10 km away from the winery.
This experience is available from June to October.
Thanks for coming! It was a real pleasure for us!

We did the Mirto tour which was very informative, the girl explained many things (in Spanish). The tastings were really nice and we could try 5 different wines with the miro at the end, a fantastic wine! We also bought some wines at the end, it was really worth it. The only thing we can say it was not that personalized as other small bodegas in the area, but of course this is what we expected.

Thank you very muchfor your review, Pascal:
We agree with your opinion about Mirto. It is a superb wine which deserve to be tasted at the end of the visit just to end with a nice flavour ;)
Thank you very much for chosing us in your journey to Spain.

Our Hotel booked us onto the wine tour at this historic bodega and Christina was our knowledgeable guide. We were taken through the wine making process, shown a video and then had a virtual tour that was cleverly done. The highlight of course was the tutored wine tasting. The set up is quite something with very modern additions juxtaposed with the traditional stone buildings and there's a lot of glass flooring. The tasting was done very well so well in fact that we bought half a dozen bottles and also a magnum. The best wine tour of any kind that we have done anywhere & we've luckily done a lot.

We had a great tour and tasting here. It was great to find out about the wine making process and taste 3 wines. We went to the wine bar afterwards which was lovely and great to try more wine.

Unlike many of the bodega shops, Ramon Bilbao seem to stock a vast range of products with various vintages available. It is a big company operating in several regions.
Such is the size of selection on offer, you are probably more likely to find the wine and year here than in the excellent vinotecs in Haro.
An impressive building too.
