Our group closed out the winery for the day, enjoying their six-wine flights, including sparkling, white and four reds -something for all tastes. Carmen did an outstanding job attending to us and giving us information about the winery, its history, challenges and production. A lovely way to wrap up our day of touring the Haro wineries!

We had a very enjoyable visit by a very enthusiastic lady called Carmen. It was interesting to see everyone in the winery hard at work as it was the first week of October. Also saw the barrels being made. Of the two tastings I preferred the white wine. Cost of visit 10 euros each and you got to keep the... More

Muga was the third and final winery we visited in the region and this by far, had to be my favourite – in terms of the tour and the tasting – even if we were sampling wine at about 11:15am! Our guide's English was good and she was so informative, making the tour that much better than some of the... More

We booked the tour a week before we arrived in Haro (10 euros each). Very knowledgeable English speaking guide and a modern winery. Well worth a visit.

For 7 euros you can taste 5 wines and 1 cava. If it is not the only bodega you visit on this day this works very well for 2. Just step in and ask for tasting at the bar. Cava and white wine were ok but nothing extraordinary. Rosé was good (I am not fan of rosé wines) and all... More

My wife and I dropped in for a late morning and tasting. We had tour reservations at another bodega so only wanted the tasting, which Muga provides. We decided on tasting a flight, but she nice we had previously had a Muga rose at a restaurant in Barcelona we asked if we could sub something else. The staff was happy... More

I was looking forward to this and whilst a flight of wines to taste was keenly priced I did not think any were knockout, I preferred the Rose to be honest. Little atmosphere compared to other Bodegas.

I've been drinking Muga wine for many years so it was only fitting that we opted to visit the winery on our recent tour of Rioja. The tour lasted approximately 90min and included the tasting of the white and the entry level red for 10 euros. It was very comprehensive and took us around the property. Our guide Carmen really... We just visited Bodegas Muga in September and had a wonderful time. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and the tour of the winery was excellent. This is the first winery we have visited where they make their own barrels .... Very interesting process!! We were part of a special visit and also, had the opportunity to have lunch at the... More

Bodegas Muga certainly knows how to organise a wine tour. Thoroughly enjoyed learning about how my favourite Rioja wine is made and also thoroughly enjoyed tasting it!
