This winery is absolutely breathtaking. We were greeted by the nicest woman once we arrived and were immediately shown to our tour guide. The experience was incredible. Our group really enjoyed the tour and later had a little wine tasting. The service was impeccable and it honestly has been one of the best wineries I've been to in Europe.

Muga has the best variety of wine selection and the wine tasting is good and personalize. We went back on the same day after trying out other bodegas and we bought something. Good choice of you go there.

We visited Bodegas Muga as the last stop on our visit of 4 wineries in Haro. The tasting room was crowded but we were given friendly (if slightly rushed) service. None of the wines we tasted left much of a great impression but we enjoyed the experience.

A tour of this winery is an eye-opener to the techniques and reflects the quality of their operation. Our guide was very knowledgeable, with an obvious love of her vocation. Highly recommended for those with a passion for the grape and interested in this segment of Spanish culture.

This is a " how to" guide. How to do a day trip from San Sebastian to La Rioja and visit three wineries in a cost effective manner. In this instance Muga, Lopez de Heredia and Gomez Cruzado. This guide is a little long. It describes as six steps the precise trains and connections and provides information that should be... More

We enjoyed very much the 90-minute tour of this winery. The guide knew well her business. The wines are very good. They make their own barrels, which was very interesting to see.

We took the bus from Bilbao and walked through Haro to reach Muga (a nice 20 min walk). It was well worth the trip! I learned so much about the wine making process, and about Rioja. Reservation is required but the reservation process is very easy through their website.

The Muga winery tour was very good. Our tour guide's English was excellent, and she knew her winemaking. Everything was explained thoroughly, and the actual physical facilities are most impressive. There is a very generous tasting at the end, including some of Muga's higher end wines, and one gets to keep the tasting glass as a souvenir.

Bodegas Muga was one of the producers we visited during a recent trip to the wine country of Northern Spain. Staying in the superb Hotel Augustine in the center of Haro meant that a pleasant stroll of only 10 minutes was needed to reach their visitor centre. The winery itself is really well presented and the tour, costing around €10,... More

Appreciated the wine tasting set up with individual coasters explaining each wine. The information was available in English and the guides spoke English as well. Haro is a lovely town to walk around after wine tasting in several locations close by each other.
