Unfortunately our kids were done looking at museums or actually anything. Between the jet lag and just plain being grumpy they were determined not to enjoy themselves. It was nice other than tired kids

There are a variety of displays in this museum. They make a big deal of the Neanderthal skeletons found on the territory and there is stuff about the military history of Gibraltar, a large model of the city from the 1860s and more. We didn't...More

Loved this little museum, loads of interesting history and artifacts all well presented, particularly good if you are a fan of military history and memorabilia, but equally lots of presentations about the islanders and their evacuation etc during ww2 Staff really friendly too

Not normally the type to spend a lot of time in museums but this one I found quite interesting, some great old Pathe News footage to watch and really enjoyed being enlightened about Gibraltar's past.

This was a museum that was trying hard but didn't hit the mark for me. My disappointment was with the presentation of the Moorish baths. I would have appreciated information on entering, rather than at the main part.

Whilst I would not say this is a must do visit, we found that the exhibits gave a very good background to the history of the Islands and the residents. There are the remains of Moorish Baths in the grounds, well explained. The exhibits include...More

I work in heritage and so always try to visit the museum, in fact my main reason for visiting Gibraltar was to find out about the latest Neanderthal discoveries from Gorham's Cave complex the new world heritage site. The museum staff helped me plan my...More

This place is worth a visit it is hidden away and probably gets missed out but worth a visit. You can get a joint ticket here to include a visit to Gorham's cave where they have discovered evidence of Neanderthal and early modern human occupation...More
