This hotel is nice enough with a lovely pool / spa area on the top floor . However , we booked through sweet stay ( even through booking.com) and from the beginning we had non stop problems . The person that showed us to our apartment was rude and threatened to ‘ cancel our room booking ‘ just because we questioned the extra money they were asking for . They will ask each occupant for £15 each for ‘ use of the amenities’ . The amenities were listed as included in the original booking and paid for . It turns out this card you have to pay for is not just for the pool it is the only way you can access the main door to even get to the apartment you have already paid for ?!
Payment is by cash only and no receipt provided so there is clearly a little money making scheme going on here between the hotel and Eliseo Gonzalez. We were taken to the apartment and he would not leave until we had also provided further card details to cover any ‘ damage waiver’. We were told even a mark on a towel will cost us £15. He was rude , passive aggressive and we both felt unsafe with this individual. Upon inspection of the apartment this had not been cleaned . There were hairs on the bed sheets , smear marks on the patio and balcony glass , dust on the floor , dirty utensils in the drawer . We took photographic evidence of this . We also got locked out on the balcony 16 floors up as the door lever malfunctioned. Once again when Eliseo came to unlock it he once again mentioned that we were ‘ lucky we were not charged for this ‘ . How about he never showed us how the door worked ?!
Filthy apartment - owner should be aware that this is not being cleaned or unkept. Hairs in the beds , dust on floor , dirty smeared windows , foot prints on wall , dirty utensils .
Please avoid at all costs .

recently stayed at this holiday rental and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, the apartment was extremely hot, with the temperature over 29°C and the air conditioning not switched on. To make matters worse, a workman had left paint and tools on the balcony. As we were unpacking, the workman returned to paint over a wall socket where a small electrical fire had occurred.
We decided to leave the apartment for a couple of hours, hoping the air conditioning would cool the place down. However, when we returned, the temperature had only dropped by 1°C to 28°C. We asked the owner to check if the air conditioning was working properly. He assured us it was but said he would get someone to fix it. Despite our willingness to pay part of the rental agreement for just one day, the owner insisted we had to pay the full amount.
Additionally, we noticed the floors were filthy, turning our feet black from dirt. Upon closer inspection, we found a considerable amount of mould growing inside all three air conditioning units. This raised serious concerns about the air quality and potential health risks from breathing in mould spores. My wife had to mop the floor twice to make it somewhat bearable.
While the owner did attempt to address some of the issues, the sweltering heat and dirty conditions made our stay extremely uncomfortable.

The owner tried to fix it. But the aircon needs a major overhaul and the apartment needs cleaning. Our feet were black.

I cannot recommend this property based on our experience.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the main square, and main streets, found this area just before lunch time. Plenty of quiet bars, and cafes to sit and watch the world go by. Some nice small shops and restaurants located here, as well as the Sunborn hotel, which resembles a ship.

This is a lovely busy place with lots of restaurants. Great for a nice drink or meal whilst watching the world go by. It's very clean and tidy and all the staff we encountered were very friendly. Boats leave from here for Dolphin watching. and the Sunborn hotel is a great sight to see. This was our 'Happy place' on our 6 night honeymoon

If you love to eat and drink and watch the world go by, then this is the place for you. Indian, Italian, Spanish, English and Irish dishes are just some of the menu choices. Comfortable chairs and lively, laid back atmosphere.

Lots to see and enjoy here. Lovely selection of restaurants and some great bars offering 2-4-1 cocktails. A varied selection of food , including Wagamama and Pizza Express if children are deciding on dinner. Supermarket is here too, along with lots of your companies and boat tours.

Ocean village is the major entertainment hub of Gibraltar. So many bars and restaurants to choose from and good variety. Really enjoyed the four I visited plus the hotel which used to be a cruise liner.

As others have written, this area is populated with a lot of bars and restaurants along the waterfront and for a couple of blocks inland. It's very walkable and felt very safe. Please do your research on TA before picking a restaurant. We didn't do that because my wife wanted fish and chips and I believe we suffered for our lack of due diligence.

I thought the area had a SoCal vibe but there are similar areas in Florida.

Thanks for reading. If you've found this helpful I'll appreciate a thumbs up below.
