We stayed at the disappointing Sunborn and had expected Ocean Village to be a fun area, it was however just full of pretty disappointing mediocre bars and chain restaurants, not the marina vibe I was expecting.

Safe, clean, and lively area with nice restaurants. We chose to eat inside at Bianca's - excellent. Various buildings and the Seaborn yacht lit up in the dark makes it quite colourful. If you want to stay at Ocean Spa Plaza AVOID apartment 1402. You might have to pay £250 to keep your host out of a police cell or end up locked up yourself, as a previous guest of Ocean Spa Plaza experienced. We unknowingly dislodged a few tiny pieces from the "green" wall in the lobby just by touching it gently. No signs saying do NOT touch the wall, and no one warned us not to touch the "green" wall. Apartment is beautiful with fantastic views and the roof top spa is great. However, the apartment's patio doors and glass barrier on the balcony were filthy. Cheap furniture and IKEA crockery, it's supposed to be luxury. Previous guests' hairs in the shower plug cover. Dead batteries in the lounge a/c unit. No mirror near a socket for blow drying/straightening/curling hair. Broken drawer under bathroom sink (which the host knew about). No hand towels. No bedside cabinet/shelf next to one side of double bed, so spectacles had to go on the floor. Address listed at Leisure Island Business Centre, no its on Bayside Road. Glad I looked for it on an online map before we arrived with our heavy hold and hand luggage. We waited almost 2 and a half hours for the host to come back to give us the access cards and make the bed. Another guest said they waited 5 1/2 hours for the bed to be made. Stay at Ocean Spa Plaza in Ocean Village but not in apartment 1402.…
