Never be in a hurry going down Main Street. Everybody ambles. It can be frustrating as a local however oozes ambience. Good shopping, cafes generally off Main Street or Casemates Square. Plenty of interesting alleys to meander around, some unusual finds.

I had heard M&S was there, and I was pleased to find a small department store, plus they had a home store for another popular mid-range store. There were several places to eat that included Burger King and nicer restaurants, but several Fish & Chips places.

A great high street with a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes and ice cream parlours. Clean and tidy. Very much an international city with a range of cultural establishments. Although a busy town centre even on a November weekday, it has a relaxing feel to it.

Left the marina and within 5 minutes was at the bus teminus where we could have got a bus to the rock but the weather was very nice and warm so we crossed into the square just beyond and walked down the main street instead. Loads of shops bars restaurants and buildings of interest to see. Changing of the local... More

Main Street in Gibralter is a great shopping street. There are a large number of Jewelers shops and also a number of Duty Free shops. Reflecting Gibralter being part of the UK lots of British shops are represented here. There are also many different options for eating, ranging from Spanish to British establishments. Towards the far end of the Street... More

Saturday afternoons a lot of the shops close and don't open at all on Sunday so be careful if you only have a short visit time. The shops offer a wide range of goods many of which can be obtained at a bargain price, the key is to do your homework, know how mush it is at home and make... More
