A taste of High Street, England, "in Spain".

Many Brits don't like Gib for some reason. For me it is the history that sits on every street corner as well as that fond English theme that everyone loves. Main Street offers... read more

Many Brits don't like Gib for some reason. For me it is the history that sits on every street corner as well as that fond English theme that everyone loves. Main Street offers a wide variety of stores, both local to the climate, and essentially British. It is important to know that if you are shopping for high end stuff,... More

The Main Street is one long street filled with restaurants, shops, cafes, alcohol and tobacco merchants - all sorts! What I found really interesting (being someone from the UK) was seeing all the stores that are no longer in operation in the UK. It's a very clean environment and at the end is a large square with a number of... More

As it says this is the Main Street for shopping, but please don't expect too many bargains. And don't be fooled by some discounts offered. Some good old traditional pubs on the street and on the side roads

We visited on the same day as one of the large cruise ships and found ourselves struggling for pavement space at times. Many shops with jewellery, watches and booze, otherwise not really that much to see. M&S, Next and Monsoon around the same as uk prices, excellent deals on Bombay Sapphire gin at just over £10 per litre. Pandora and... More

Really do not go. Absolutely the worst city to visit in Andalucia. Don't waste your time on it just because there are some monkeys on a rock nearby.

Main Street almost beckons you to come and explore. The storefronts are attractive, the architecture interesting, and the surroundings clean. I didn't care about shopping, so I went over to Gibraltar on a Sunday, when many shops are closed, but lots of restaurants still open. This was great for me, as the place was not crowded in the least. Gibraltar... More

Been here a couple of times, it's a very small area that usually gets quite busy. But it's like a UK High Street, but with nice weather :) there are an array of shops, including those we get at home such as BHS, M&S etc. Quite a few perfumery outlets and many duty free sellers to get those cheap cigarettes... They did have a few of the English brands which I love (Next etc) but it was all a bit chaotic and tasteless. Strange people in the streets, seems to be a bit of drugs (or something else that makes people behave like they are drugged) and all in all, not great with kids. If you want to by alcohol... More
