More than the beach itself, what I truly recommend is walk (or run) all along the promenade, starting from here (in front of the mythic stadium) all the way to the marina., crossing the Tower of Hercules and its surroundings. A challenge, but worth trying

Perfect beach in the heart of La Coruna city. Beautiful beach where you can walk and enjoy the beautiful views. If you go to La Coruna you can't miss it. It is really nice to walk all along the shoreline.

Riazor beach is part of the longest 13-kilometer seaside promenade in Europe, Paseo Maritimo. You can conditionally call it a beach. I was on the last day of June, it was impossible to swim. Cold. Perhaps you can sunbathe when the windy and unstable weather in La Coruna allows it for a couple of hours. In General, everything is as we have in Murmansk. Only we have the Arctic, and here it seems like the South...

the kilometers of walkways that connect the Playa de Riazor are wonderful to walk, even if it is too cold to bathe in the sea. The waves and rocks are impressive as well.

You can walk along the promenade day or night, if Deportivo have been playing you will experience what it is like to mingle with the crowd. You can paddle in the Atlantic and didge the waves or you can just sunbathe and people watch.

Playa de Riazor is located in the center of the city. It is definitively one of the most beautiful urban beaches of Europe. This is a great place to relax and to explore the rest of the city. From here you can go to Monte de San Pedro, a beautiful place with amazing panoramic views.

This a lovely beach but unfortunately not all of it the end of the beach by the raizor stadium is lovely with proper nice sand but go along 100 metres towards the city past the bars and the sand then all the way is horrible its like crushed concrete that hurts your feet and gives off like a cement type dust so when its busy you can see clouds of this dust blowing along, also after the bars there is a dual carrigeway aboout 10 metres from the beach which on workdays is busy all day so its not what you would call peaceful, halfway along the beach there are some sunbeds to rent but you have to stay at the back of the beach near the road as you are not allowed to move them down to the water where its a little bit quieter but we used these twice and just switched off from the noise and spent our time watching the people walking up and down the lovely promenade.the very far end of the bay [orzan i think] also looked a lovely spot with what looked like real sand

A nice place to relax and enjoy the view. The beach is a combination of a sandy area and a rock area. Listening to the waves on the rocks is very soothing to the ears and the psyche. A good place to pass time, especially on a sunny, cool day.

We came by the beach late in the season on business trip.
The water and beachfront looked nice and several surfers were in the water enjoying the waves this windy day.

We were there in October so we didn't go for a swim. Parts of the beach is rocky but other parts was good enough to swim.
