As in the title it’s interesting without being too exciting. Much of the science on show is physics based and there is various examples that are interesting and engaging. The planetarium was fully booked on the day we went therefore we were unable to view that and we’ll maybe return at some point to see that as well.

Came across this beautiful domed building whilst walking through Santa Margarita Park and decided to go in as the entrance fee was so cheap!

There are so many interactive displays throughout, and all seemed to be in working order (unlike the Science Museums in the UK!). I guess it is mainly aimed at school trips, but most families could spend a good few hours there.

We bought a combined ticket to go into the Planetarium, and although the commentary was in Spanish, we enjoyed the images and got the gist of it. Think they could easily do a headset with different languages for the tourists.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, had to drag hubby away!

Very hands on. Not huge but great for children aged 4 to 12 years. Clean, well maintained. Got busier around 4-30pm but not too busy. We arrived at 2pm and had the whole place virtually to ourselves for the first couple of hours. Definitely recommend.

Interactive and fun attraction you will find on A Coruña, very good for kids. Very close to Plaza de Pontevedra which you can easily access by bus.
The “Casa de las Ciencias” it’s located into a park, (Parque de Santa Margarita) you have to get in to the park.

This museum is completely interactive, you can touch and interact with every exhibit. Fantastic for all ages and quite cheap. The park surrounding it also makes for a good stroll.

I walked up to the park to find out what the domed building was on the hill - the local science museum and planetarium. I only took the basic entry (you can pay more to visit more spaces or even more for freedom of the place). Small but with one or two interesting exhibits (static and interactive). Mostly for kids (8-15 years). Nice walk for me and I now know what is the domed building on the hill.

A great museum with nearly all interactive exhibits. The Science Museum in London could learn a lot from here. Sadly only about half of the exhibits had English translations but still they were all fun and most easy to work out.

There is also a planetarium but as it was a long time to wait until the next show and it was only in Spanish we decided not to hang around for it.

The park around the museum is also worth a visit with tables of elderly people playing cards in the sunshine when we visited. Looked like a great place for a picnic.

Good value for only 2 euros and if you speak Spanish definitely a 5 star place to visit, for English speakers a touch more difficult.

Situated in a nice little park (Santa Marguerita) this is a museum designed primarily to teach kids some science in a fun way. The science is serious and not trivialised but it is also fun. . Although a good way to spend time any day, it would be a particularly good way to spend an hour or two on a wet day. I think there are quite a lot of school trips and it can be noisy but there are plenty of exhibits and it is on 3 floors so you can move on or back to avoid the crowd if there is one. The exhibits do have an english sign but it is on a hinged board with spanish on the other side so be sure to swing it to english if you want (we didn't realise to start with). The Domus is more extensive and has many more exhibits and information but this is more fun! Go to both!

Superb and strangely addictive activities.
Watching a chick hatch engaged us for well over 20 mins (hint: it was fun to use slow mo on an iPhone to video it). Made pictures with gigantic interactive spirograph. Spinning discs on a gigantic record-player like disc (hard to explain how fun this was in words). Attempting to make large bubbles from a large bubble making contraption. And numerous other fun & interactive exhibits.
A must do with kids from 5-18. And great for adults too.
