Beautiful spot with views over the coastline and the ocean. It is like Lands End in the UK but nicer as it is not spoilt by over commercialization. There is just a bar, an hotel and a small gift shop. It was busy but we managed to find a parking spot and had a coffee overlooking the ocean. Definitely worth a visit.

The final, final destination of many pilgrims on Camino de Santiago; the place where they threw their old clothes and shoes into the sea before embarking on a new and, hopefully, more kindly life; a place where, millennia before, pagans followed the field of the stars to the end of the Earth.
Whatever the truth may be, the location is stunning: one looks out at nothing but endless sea, the sunlight striking on the rocks and the waves alerting one to the dangers out there; one can only conceive of the bravery of those intrepid sailors who braved the unknown.
Imagination is key to appreciating the beauty of this place: yes, there are tacky tourist places; yes, there are a bzillion tourists (not when we where there but usually, I am sure); think beyond that - truly look at the beauty of the location, the history, the inherent danger and be amazed.
Aside: given that magnetic north is a 'movable feast' it is possible that this location was, in fact, 'The End of the Earth' to the Romans - as in the most westerly place of mainland Europe - even though other locations are, today, more westerly.
Enjoy!

The last stop of Camino de Santiago, the end of the world, Cabo Finisterre is well worth a visit. It is easy to access by the car and easy to walk around if the weather is not very windy (they said it was sometimes very windy and not safe, we were lucky to have good weather). The view is beautiful and great to take good pictures.

If you haven’t walked the Camino de Santiago, this place can still be significant for you, but if you HAVE, it feels like a sigh, you’re finally done. The sea is all around, and if you can find a quiet place, its a great place for reflection.

BUT there are always A LOT of people around, finding a quiet place could be a struggle, and too many pilgrims try to burn their boots, but don’t clean up after themselves.

The view from cabo finisterre is marvelous. you won't find it so amazing if you are used to travel near the shore in Spain or Portugal. Nevertheless for being km0 for St James Path, there is something magic and particular in this place.

Visiting the very end of Cape Finisterre and the end of the Camino way has become a tourist nightmare since the Pilgrimage phenomenon has exploded, but it’s still worth coming for the views (when it’s not foggy or raining!) and to appreciate the explosive force of the Atlantic Ocean. Better still is finding the viewpoint a little further along the coast to look back towards Finisterre and the lighthouse. That is truly extraordinary.

After weeks, growing together as companions on the road, we drank, we ate, and said our farewells as the sun set spectacularly. For us, this, far more than Santiago de Compostela, was the culmination of our respective “Caminos”

The Cabo de Finisterre ( the end of the earth) is absolutely beautiful, but since it became the last stop in the Camino the Santiago, people are leaving the clothes, underwear, shoes etc everywhere! Apparently, you are supposed to leave something behind after your journey but hey! underwear...r u kidding me. Still a great place to visit.

From all travel guides and most other travellers this is a go to destination--I surely dont know why. Other than its interesting name it really is not that worthwhile to travel to. There is almost NOTHING here except sweaty tired hikers from the Santiago de Compostela who come to toss and burn their old sweaty crap, ok views of the Atlantic Ocean and some crappy food, tourist trinkets and a locked lighthouse.

This and Finisterre should be the end of every camino. In fact it's only 30KM between the two or 2 days walking. When I was there, a lot of pilgrims were also there and the bus back early in the morning was full!
