The avenue is the urban heart of the city, always full of life and culture. With shops, cafes and event spaces, there’s always something to do. Statues and monuments along the avenue add a cultural and artistic touch. An ideal place to experience the vitality and pace of the city, enjoy a walk, shop or just observe the daily hustle and bustle.

Worth a stroll down/ visit to see the roman amphitheatre at end and Nice view. Tarragona probably fair to say not the most beautiful Spanish city but has its charms, e.g. indoor Market a must see for anyone with even a passing interest in food culture

This is a broad avenue running from the sea viewing point through the modern part of the city. There is a good range of shops, bars and hotels down either side of the avenue. The central section is pedestrianised with occasional interesting sculptures.

This is a fascinating walk, where there are monuments and statues showing the history of Tarragona. here in the tree lined Rambla there are many places to sit and take a breath or lots of bars and restaurant should you want them. There are shops, Ice cream parlours, and if you look up the buildings are fascinating. Then at the end is the Balcon de Mediterranean, a spectacular view over the sea.

The Rambla Nova, which ends at a "lookout" point above the beach is a beautiful place to stroll amid palm trees and benches where one can "people watch." It seemed as if hundreds of people were walking their dogs down the Rambla, and for us, this made the experience joyful as we watched the dogs cavort. There are dozens of cafes lining either side of the Rambla, and we had several nice lunches there (albeit touristy in nature). If there is just one thing you have the time to do in Tarragona, make it the Rambla Nova.

One of the main avenues in Tarragona. Lined with restaurants, tapas bars, shops and apartments. The buildings lining this avenue are lovely - some have very detailed architecture. At the eastern end is the Mediterranean Balcony where grand views overlooking the Sea can be had. There is a pedestrian-only walkway that runs down the middle of the Rambla which is lined with trees. A most pleasant place to stroll when in Tarragona.

No shortage of choices for cafes or restaurants along this street. The outdoor seating is a great place to people watch, enjoy a beverage before walking to the view point cliff called the Mediterranean Balcony. So pretty to look out into the ocean or even back down La Rambla with the huge meridian walkway down the tree lined centre. There are a few great statues to look at along this stretch as well.

A long straight double tree lined route to the sea - but that is just part of it.
There are various eateries along this pristine promenade. From restaurants to ice cream, hair dressers to hugo-boss , offices to opticians, with the whole affair tripping down to the statue at the Sea view ' balcony ' with telescope to continue your visual voyage
Don't be afraid to eat here as there are many Menu del Dias to be had at below average price for above average fare.
A stroll down here could take all day, especially if it is market day with many vendors selling many items to soak an hour, and shopping at "posh" designer shops may soak more plastic
Rambla is better than Barcelona as it feels safer, with more reliable eateries
Don't miss it !

It is the balcony at the end of the Ramblas that is the sight you are visiting. It overlooks the sea from the heights and is stunning, especially on a sunny day when the wind is blowing.
