Bask in the beauty and history of coastal Catalonia on this full-day tour from Barcelona. In Tarragona, walk in the footsteps of gladiators and merchants at the UNESCO-listed ancient Roman ruins, and then explore the bohemian vibe and Modernist architecture of Sitges on a guided tour of the old town. Finish the day with sunbathing or swimming at the popular San Sebastian urban beach.

Set near the Placa del font, the Ajuntament de Tarragona sits proudly above. Wonderful building. Lovely area.

Tarragona’s City Hall. Grand building located in busy, attractive square lined with cafes, bars and restaurants. Be sure to have a look inside the City Hall to see the massive stone boat on display in one of the two courtyards.

We came across this square by accident whilst wandering one day, its pretty quiet in the afternoons (although we were travelling out of season) but come night time it livens up. Lots of little bars with tables and seats out in the actual square, they provided fleece blankets which were very welcome one the sun had gone down :) . Cant remember the name of the one we sat at for a few hours (top right as you walk up the square) but they ere very friendly, spoke very good English and were very accommodating.
