We live less than a minutes walk from the front door of the church. The 17th century church is situated above the sea with expansive views of Sitges. Turn to the right along the sea and you will find lovely old buildings and three museums along Carrer de Fonollar. To the left of the front door is the lovely city hall, library complex and Dr Roberts garden. You can see them all by making it a big loop. The interior of the church reflects the what you would hope for in an old spanish church. If you can come and hear the baroque organ you will have an experience to remember.

If you love taking pictures, then I would suggest staying here for at least one hour each time and visit this place during different time of the day. First, the stairway leads up to the platform where the ocean water will splatter. Then next the Church has lots of place to take photos. Don't forget to also walk behind the church where you will find a path, where street vendors sell their hand crafted goods or play the music. Depending on the time of the day, everything catches different kind of lights. I stayed at a friend's house nearby and we walked through this place multiple times a day and so I noticed that the place looks different at different time of the day. it is so amazing!

We spent a magical afternoon wandering around Sant Bartolmeu and Santa Tecla on a beautiful July afternoon. There are many spots for spectacular photos of the church and the Mediteranean. Views out to sea are spectacular and there were lots happening - buskers, swimmers, and families enjoying the sunshine. Was a lovely afternoon - well worth the visit.

On the top of a little hill, looking over the sea and the village. Nice architecture. Romantic lightning in the evening.

An icon of Sitges.

The little church has many thing going for it offseason it has the best view right on the waterfront, the entire is modest and simply great to reflect.
In summer you will have the religious parade and the festival which will include firework and so many people..

As many have said before this church has a great view of the town and the waterfront. What they don't say is that if you are in Sitges in August or September (Google search the Feast Days for each Saint to get future dates) you will be treated to 2 spectacular displays of local Parish culture. Get ready for lots of parades and fireworks! Even if you aren't religious you'll get a taste of Spain this way.

The area walking along to the church is flat however to walk up to the church to the right (seaside) there are steps, many of them. Take a walk to the left along the narrow streets and you come to the same vistas. The views of the sea and the rocks below is quite peaceful and to stroll down through the small side street and see the street vendors is a delight. The area opens out on to the next beach where a short stroll gets you to some very nice cafes and restaurants where you can sit and wonder which of the people passing by have either been or are to the nudist beach a bit further along the prom.

Seemingly open only for services, (Sunday at 7,8,9,11,12; daily at 19:30), I visited prior to an 11am Mass, after waiting for the doors to open 20 minutes prior to the service beginning. The half dome over the altar is beautiful, but the ornate side altars lining the side aisles are stunning.
Returning for midday Mass, the celebrant was jolly, interacting with the congregation, singing in full voice. The service was in Catalan. A baptism followed, so further touring was not possible.
