Sitges has a large Gay population both permanent and visitors. This monument is a reminder that we live in a very special place as not all LGBTI people are free, not all are safe from danger, and every advancement is fraught with the dangers of...More

Sitges of course well known for inhabitants tolerances of all persecuted minorities. The gay community a big part of art, culture and music in town life. Respect. '

We’d actually passed this monument about 6 times before we finally noticed it. Its a reminder of the continued need to raise awareness and combat homophobia, but unfortunately, it did look a little run down. If you’re passing it, take a look, but don’t go...More

This is just nice. It's a little bit out of the way but a lovely little surprise. Every town should have a pink triangle. Well done Sitges

I think this is a lovely monument to those lost due to homophobia and a welcome recognition of this very serious problem

So pleased this lovely memorial, a reminder of past and present atrocities and homophobia has been moved to its new location along the sidewalk, also nice to see it is at the moment free from graffiti.

First full day here I'd gone for a walk and went pass this without realising so was a bit surprised where it was when I went looking for it. Great to see monuments like this but quite a discreet one overshadowed by the surroundings.

Amsterdam has a homo monument, and so does Sitges. As it proudly sits on the main drag (no pun intended), it's nice to know this liberal city respects all people

Bring some food for the cats on the stone jetty nearby. This is an historical monument dedicated to the lives of Gay men who were persecuted and lost their lives in a less tolerant era.

This discrete symbol of tolerance and understanding is a celebration of how far we have come and a reminder of a dark, and relatively recent, past. It is worth remembering in these days of an uncertain future both in Europe and elsewhere that a long...More
