The place, which is recommended to tourists to the premises, did not make much impression on the hoarfrost. There are more cozy streets with magnificent architecture. But if you're nearby, you can drop in for five minutes.

Located just in the courtyard off Plaça del Vi is the town hall of Girona and only passed this while walking from the tourist information office which is 2 minutes walk away. The architecture is pretty much in keeping with the surrounding buildings and reminds me of renaissance buildings with false balconies. The inside just hints at the governmental functions of the building and as the town hall is for official and administration purposes, I didn’t do too much snooping around.

Worth a quick visit if in the area, but don’t go out of the way.

This is where Catalan President Carles Puigdemont began his political career as Mayor of Girona. This is THE heart of Girona!

Besides the aesthetic qualities, it's the perfect place to see "castells", human towers, during "Diada castellera de Sant NarcĂs". It's square has the perfect size to feel emotion and humanity when offer that kind of events

It was a great place to start our tour of the city of Girona! Really enjoyed exploring the city - great coffee just in front of the plaza.

Start your visit to the Old Town through the Town Hall Plaza and stop for a coffee under the arch in front of this plaza.

How wonderful to fall upon this building as it proudly bore a large notice declaring a welcome to refugees.
Well done Girona.

We spent a week and a half in an apartment overlooking the old town hall and it seemed there was always something happening not just in the square just outside but also inside, either a musical performance or an art show or a theatrical presentation. In terms of architectural uniqueness, it won't top the charts but it has a regal bearing that is impressive. The best day or evening to see is St. John's Eve on June 23 when there's music and, especially, locals get together and build a human castle/tower, an event that you have to see to believe. In this event, as many as 100 people (more in a few other cities) construct a three to five-storey high tower made solely of individuals piling onto each other's shoulders. It's thrilling and emotional.

I like Girona Town Hall!
I really recommend to visit it from outside and inside. Good architecture :)
Girona's main Theatre is nearly inside the Town's Hall :) And it's also very beautiful! :)

For tourists, the Town Hall of Girona [Ajuntament De Girona] has little to commend it from the exterior, as it isn’t an historic building, but it fits into the townscape really well. It does, however, have a theatre set into the SanDomenec Convent so this is the place for tickets and finding out about shows and schedules. I only mention the Town Hall as the Tourist Office [only two minutes from here] suggested it as the ideal place to mail my postcards - the first time I have ever pushed post through a lion's mouth! If you have time to write to your friends and relatives by snail mail, then this is doing it in style.
